This is because we place value on feelings and correctness and no real value on true Heroism or true bravery.

I pull the hero's work here sign up at the dialysis clinic every time I go in. If you thought they were hero's you’d pay them appropriately. As it is they are doing what they signed up for and no more. The clinic administrator and I have agreed to disagree about that. But I’m still pulling that sign up and tossing it behind the bushes every time I see it up again.

First time I used a buffer I had no clue.

Re: med staff, good on them for going to work even when there's a unknown virus going on and people are getting sick left and right. Or the folks who do retail and have all sorts of yahoos who may or not be sick in their vicinity.

I think the first time most of us used a buffer we had no idea.

I failed feild day inspection once. Inwas on night crew and sleeping in my rack, got dinged for having a to go breakfast tray on my desk which I was going to finish when I got up, and for having an unmade rack which I was sleeping in.
Anywho, they were on a war path that day and a bunch if us had to redo the floors. First moron on busted a hope in the wall when he fired up the buffer!

I'm over 25 years out, I call them mops now days. If I told a laborer to go get a swab.................... they would still look at me like a deer in headlights because they cant speak English anyhow.......:notsure:

Heh I alternate between head and latrine, idk. Something about being in multiple services really messes up the headspace. Shit, I've caught myself reflexively saying 'sergeant major' when I meant 'master chief'.
