Went looking for some green trout today, caught some small ones, one decent one, and some other species.

Man that's a solid doormat! I'm landlocked right now and need to get back to the coast! Inspiration right here. Haha.

No trophies here.. pretty average for the area. My largest was 28". They're typically 22-24" this time of year. The fight of any of these gulf coast species is very aggressive and really wear you out after a long day of hookups

Approximately 550 teeth, cartilage and two vertebrae. About 65 million years old. My campsite on a 10 meter wide finger, the shark was located below the camper at the bottom of the cut, I found the specimen so set up camp there. Ptychodus mortoni, a shell eating shark, got to about 25 to 30 feet in length.0C6FAD45-6F5C-45D6-980D-F3E0A558C4A1.jpg 4A62206B-64F7-427F-931B-CE1B22BEC805.jpg

Had a good trip with the family today. Really did more swimming and exploring than fishing but that’s ok. I only made probably 5 casts with my pole and put it away. Waded around the river with my daughter on my front and my son on my back lol. Had two bites on my daughters Frozen pole but could never get a hook set. She had two bites of her own. No fish today but was a great day away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Also checked out the trailhead to the lake full of goldens I’m going after. I actually got kind of nervous. It looks like a steep son of a bitch.
