    Hey all!

I'm curious if anyone has installed a aftermarket sunroof? Pros/cons? Do they hold up pretty well? That is the ONE thing my '13 is missing that I absolutely would LOVE in my truck. I'm not all that excited to drop 40k for a new model just to get it. Thanks!

If you are looking for opinions, I would say don't do it. I have seen way too many that leak.

If you do decide to do it then make sure and do the homework to get a Very Good installer that is willing to give you a written warranty against leaks. After the hole is cut it gets very expensive to go back.

That is exactly what I am worried about :/ leaks. I don't live where it rains a ton, but I would like to not worry about it down the road either

I bet you could find some tweaker to do the install for you.

If this "I would like to not worry about it down the road either" is the goal, then the only way to not worry is don't get one.
It isn't a matter of IF it will leak, it's more like WHEN will it leak.

    Couldn’t agree more.
Just thinking about an aftermarket install makes me nervous.

    Same crap everyone else got
My dad bought his 06 new and had the sunroof installed as an option. I believe the dealership would send them to a company for the install. He's still has his 06 now and I believe only had a leak after the initial install which was addressed shortly after and has been good to go ever since....so about 14 years later.

Haven't seen anybody install a sunroof since the 70's
Aftermarket sunroofs totally kill any value in your truck.

I agree with many others here- you're asking for problems when installing an aftermarket sunroof. If it were my own vehicle I'd just leave it as is.

I got one put in a few years back. I think almost 6 now. I havent had any issues with leaking, I just make sure to keep the rubber seal around the sunroof clean. I love it having all the windows open going down the road with the roof open. I ended up going with this company to get mine, and found an installer in my area that had been doing it for 20 years.
