Got some hate cause taking pictures of “scared” wildlife is mean.

Quite a bit goes into planning, permitting, etc. any trip. Never mind the required insurance and other commercial use fees.

 

“Scared” hahaha. That cat knows exactly who’s in charge and it isn’t the one behind the lens.

For those of you interested in improving your photography.

Muench Workshops have been doing short LightRoom webinars that are available-or you can sign up for the mailing list and get notification for the next session. Marc recently released a second e-Book titled "The Art of Luminosity" which attempts to explain what light is and how you can use the knowledge to improve your photography. I think it's well written and provides a great deal of information. One of the big takeaways for me is that it's possible to evaluate light and make some decisions about editing at the time you're taking a picture-useful if you've got a limited amount of time in a place-basically deciding if you'll be able to edit the image enough to make it work or if you need to make different exposures to get what you'll need.

I'm about half way through and feel like it's helped my understanding. Hopefully, I'll be look at scenes differently from now on.

Weird.

 

Got to take the DSLR into some abandoned gold mines this weekend. Came out with a few shots I really felt good about. First time I've done actual photography in a long time.

Notice the old mine cart rails just below the surface. ​

 

Not the greatest results but went comet NEOWISE hunting this week.

That American Avocet shot on the salt flats is spectacular.

 

That is a neat picture, popularity for sure, glad I got in fast. Not about to go ask for votes on FB or anything so, my chances are Slim

All my shoots lately have been under confidentiality restrictions, so I haven't had much to post except for what the client gives me.
