haha that's basically where I am at right now and just want to find a local reliable shop. Before the Taco, I had a TL Type S and I was always running around switching summer/winter wheels/tpms/tires and it always seemed to be a hassle.

    Yep.
A lot of good recommendations so far.

I've used MR. Tire in Downingtown a handful of time over the last 8 years without issue. With anywhere, buy the tires online then take them to the shop... unless they'll price match.

https://www.ebay.com/p/692619391. I'm thinking about this as an option for mounting my license plate. Every time I think I've come up with a solution in my build it leads to 2-3 unforseen issues.

For those that have gone this route, any suggestions/lessons learned? I realize the plate will have to come off to change a tire, planning on a quick disconnect of some sort for wiring.

I'm trying to avoid my new plate getting destroyed from hanging below the bumper. Currently it is mounted to the tailgate, but not illuminated.

Use self tappers and screw it onto the swing gate. I have that led light license plate mount I made for my old swingout tire carrier on Battle Born, it's got the light on it already. You can have it.

That's where it is currently, but far from ideal. I've been trying to think of a solution for lighting it. Moving it to the spare and running a light there seems more viable as it would be much close to the mounting point, and not the swinging side.

I think the tent would cover it up too much. I'll post a pic, so you can see what I'm working with. I'm open to all suggestions. I just want something that is easy and looks decent.

I gotta laugh seeing all the bicycles mounted you can barely see the plate let alone read the whole thing.

Just get a set of cheap LED's from the parts store that point down and put them on or you can have the led light license plate bar I have.

Know anything about wiring? That would require moving the plate down, and off the internal framework. Most likely cutting/drilling mounts. Jb weld for filler.

In theory the pivot point is fixed, so if I run enough wiring from the right side it should be able to open and shut without a bunch of slack wire everywhere?

Just get something like this and stick it onto the plate.

    https://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-L...d=1594235696&sprefix=led+lisc,aps,407&sr=8-42

that's what I'm using on the Panda.

I like that this doesn't require mounting.

    I also considering this.
    https://www.amazon.com/Closertowholesale-Trailer-License-Bracket-Snowmobile/dp/B006SIRYGG
It would allow me to use the existing self tappers to mount everything up. The light should be just above the tailgate (I don't like that idea), but the wiring wouldn't have to be run through the sheet metal.

    Biggest concerns
    1) routing the wiring so it is reliable
    2) modifying as little as possible

Is your bed often filled with plunder ??

If not I would make a bracket to sit at the left upper corner of the bed .

The electric for the license plate light can be run between the cab and bed
