Hey TW, looking for recommendations for a good shop in the valley for a regear. Driving up to the rim is really making me consider this and I'd like to take it to a good shop to do it.

Wil at Sierra Expeditions in Mesa did a great job with our old truck. They even did the first 20 miles of break in. We would absolutely use them again if we need another regear.

Call 101 Motors in Tempe and ask for Gregg. He'll hook it up if you tell him Sean referred you!

I was looking into AZ Driveshaft. They do all types of diff work (re-gear, lockers etc) and have a good reputation.

Interested to hear the outcome as I will be in for a re-gear later this year or early next... hopefully

I ended up going with Zuk. My mechanic has been using him for 20 years and he's the only one he trusts, ha. That was good enough for me.

I went with 4.88's and Nitro gears. I have a manual trans. Research showed that its best to go with the 4.88's for manual and 5.29's for autos.

I decided to go with Arizona Differential on 36th Avenue. They quoted me at $1500 . They show me the shop and the owner was very friendly.

He's not setup to remove the 3rd members, so my mechanic had to do that. About $2100 total.

I don't know if should I go 4.88 with my 2nd gen . I'm on 33's with a lot of extra weight. Or should I play safe and do 4.56?
