No sound difference, no exhaust in the cab. It's well after all the emissions controls. You're still shooting it down at the ground and away. I haven't had a single issue with mine for the last several months. The only thing this accomplishes is giving you one less thing to snag on when you're not on pavement.

I hate to think what will happen when you de-badge and get a soft-topper!!

Lol. I took mudflaps off though so there was nothing saying 4x4 other then my trd offroad bedside decals. My trucks a base model too. Lol. When I bought the truck I wanted AC, 4x4, manual sliding rear window & no chrome. Dodnt get sliding window & badges were chrome so they got plastidiped!

    last question:
so IF while shifting between in 5th and 6th gear the main shifter it is super close to the 4x lever: Would you guesstimate that 1 or 2 degrees of bend on the 4x lever (outward to the right or passenger side) would give "just the right" amount of clearance?
I want to source a smaller cue ball style lever for the 4x lever...and want the main shifter lever to clear it well.

I don't have anything saying it at all, so I might have to pick up a badge. I have lots of chrome, but it doesn't bother me that much. I think plastidip would look cooler though, might have to try it sebodh

I forgot to mention, I have the TRD short shifter, so I am not sure how different that is from the stock shifter side to side.

A small bend like that would probably make it clear the main shifter though, but then it would probably rub more on the right side of the console when shifting the t-case to 2 low. It's a very tight fit on the right too.
