If my 3.5 ever gives out on me and i have the funds at the time, ill buy the kit and swap it myself. Save some money on the labor. Might be TT the taco sometime early next year tho.

the cost to produce may be the same, but I bet diesels are taxed differently by the government as well as toyota adding some hype tax to it.

I was going to buy the twin turbo but due to the guy setting up the kit being so iffy right now I decided to hold off. His customer support is next to non existent in many cases and takes an ungodly amount of time to get him to respond just for info on the tune kit. With that knowledge I’d hate to be in need of a response from him for the twin turbo while my truck stays down for weeks or months waiting on a response.

Eventually he’ll get his act together and become more customer friendly and supportive but the only time he’s prompt now to respond if money is coming his way. Once that’s done he doesn’t respond hardly at all and I’m not referring to Tacoma world responses but his support email channel. Also his turbos still haven’t come to fruition yet as zero people have one installed and functioning at this time yet they’re our 4-7k already for over a month now with only pictures and promises so far.

 

I make a lot of my purchases based on customer service, and not just truck parts either. Guns and knives are another rabbit hole I run down often. If your customer service sucks, or is non-existent, I'll move on to another company to make the purchase.

 

Do they make a bolt on kit for 3rd gen? Or would you make your own?

 

Dude customer service is most of the time what makes or breaks a business.

 

Too bad that some companies don't realize this.

 

Honestly that’s why I chose all the companies i did when building my truck. Outstanding customer service. When I bought my victory racks they left out some hardware so I contacted them and I got a response right away. They next day aired them to me and gave me 10% off my next order. Also rep I bought from called me to confirm I received everything.

johns been great with my bumpers. Confirming everything was too my liking and he offered to rebuild my sliders after the first issue I had with them. He offered me a refund if I wanted one. He’s adding a bunch of other little things on my bumper for free as well. He’s touching them up when I drop the truck off to have my sliders welded.

Also had great customer service when I bought my radflos. Guys were super nice and explained everything and was spot on with lead times. Shocks where custom made and not just taken off a shelf. Called them last week to inquire about 12inch shocks for a relocation and they were very helpful.
