Sweet. Yeah I have zero experience (see what I did there) with zero turns. Well now Eric's decision is that much more complicated.

I'm not super sensitive to suspension changes so my thoughts are underwhelming. The truck seems more like a whole unit and less out of control in the rear. I'll probably notice more as I put more miles on it.

It could pull a lawn sweeper or anything like that really. I ended up with the Ariens Ironman xl or something like that. It's the same machine as the Gravely all the same company

Bigger deck than I needed but Lowes had them on sale and still gave the millitary discount so a pretty good savings and it met all my other requirements.

That's the big gain I noticed immediately, though I drove 78 miles home via I-664/64 immediately afterwards.

Naw it's jus a homeowners version. They do offer the commercial grade ones now. My only complaint is I get done mowing too quick now. Hustler is another good one to look at.

Thanks for the explanation. I had not heard that, and that is downright shitty. Makes me sad actually...always had a fondness for John Deere.

    Couldn't agree more.

A lot of the larger farms where I'm from in Ohio do indeed primarily run JD, a mix of new stuff and some of the older models as well (especially the closer you get to a dealer). Guess they can afford to use the dealer for service or might not have the time to do it themselves (or apparently the ability anyway)? The smaller farms where I'm from also run a fair amount of JD, but it is mostly from the 90's or older. Definitely see a quite a bit of the other random brands as well on the smaller operations like New Holland, Case, International, and the random AC or MF tractor thrown in.

I just helped my dad fix a few things on his 1958 John Deere 530 when I was back home in May. Still runs like a top and super easy to work on.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I had a Toro. Commercial build quality for home owner. 17 years old and still running for my neighbor. (Sold it as opposed to moving it.) Side note: Use a local store that provides service instead of a big box store. If you need service, most smaller shops will come and get it as opposed to the big box stores where you have to return it, drop it off and wait while they ship it who knows where for service.

I wanna y’all about mowers. Dixie Chopper is my vote. I love mine. 2.9 acres done in 1.5 hours. Hills are no problem. I cut some sketchy slopes with it.
