You guys are hilarious... Thanks for the er, warm welcome! I'm from southern Vancouver Island~ born & raised. I do love it, but I have to say I'm a real sucker for ranchlands too. I have not been fortunate enough to venture nearly enough into the different states, but I do love what I've seen of Oregon!

Pictures of me? Hmmmm, we'll see... Lol

That's great to hear! What kind of tires/rims do you have & did you have and rubbing issues or have to do any trimming? I have my heart set on 33" Toyo Open Country M/Ts.

From my understanding, you guys have protocols that surpass ours. BCAS used to be pretty cutting edge, but that's all in the past. I'm just at a basic level- PCP is what it's known as here. I can barely keep my skills up~~ not getting enough on car time, as I've been working in the dispatch centre alot, plus longshoring. I'm kind of a jack (Jill?) of all trades, master of none.

Both jobs pay well Vidman, but probably not well enough for this latest obsession. Here I thought I did a good thing by getting almost totally out of horses. Well this may be almost as bad!

LOVE that front bumper BTW. What kind is is?

Welcome aboard from the lower 48. If you've been lurking you already know it's a great site. Tons of information for you on your truck.
As to a canopy, check out Searchtempest.com (craigslist). I bought mine used and saved quite a few bucks. Got to do a bit of looking and then jump when you see one.
Don't worry about the color as many places can color match. My canopy was originally black, had it painted at Maaco. Total investment with paint, about 900 bucks. New SnugTop would have been about 2300. Save lots to put into other toys.
    Good luck. Ken

Thanks Ken!! Checked out Searchtempest, and WOW!!! So glad you pointed that out. Wished I'd known about that sooner- what a time saver as I am frequently searching for used online bargains. Very handy indeed.

And yes, I am already in love with this site. What a wealth of info. Not enough time in the day to read it all, but I do what I can. It's definitely making my wish list get longer....and longer.... :D

I did manage to find a great canopy through UsedVancouver.com. It's a black Leer that came off an identical truck. The guy only had it 7 months & it's WAY nicer than I needed: Insulated, Thule roofracks, cargo net, etc. But hey- it was love at first sight. The guy was firm on $1900. But I took it to the Cap It place that sells it & they said new it was a $3300. canopy. Sheesh, I have paid less than that for vehicles!

    And so it begins.

Pics to come if it ever stops raining!
