Imo it’s good, I have aftermarket low beam bulbs, but the drl seems just as bright as the oem ones. The fitment on them is also pretty good.

    this and that...
@Taco1701: correct. those eyes are like lasers! picked up the recon on tuesday. originally, i bought the honda rubicon for myself and a polaris sportsman 110 for my son about 3 weeks ago. the rubi wasnt in, so i had some waiting to do. during that period, we seen this polaris start leaking oil from the crankcase, dash lights flickering for no apparent reason, hesitant starting and supension just squeak to all hell not even two days later. i mean this thing was bad. i dont want to bad mouth polaris cause they are a good company; i had a polaris ranger few years back. loved that thing. not one issue. but this! i dunno...i did some research and it seemed like their kids quads is actually chinese made with the polaris branding slapped on top. called the dealer tuesday. told em wassup, told em what i wanted and we hashed out the details. loaded the taco up with the recon and now my boy is team red lol.

anyhow, onto the topic of this thread. what did i do to my 3rd gen today? took her down to the station to stock pile some freshly squeezed efree. yes gas is expensive in hawaii lol.

Yeah, I've heard the same thing about the youth quads. They seem to be more of an afterthought for most companies. We had a Polaris RZR 570 and we sold it and got a Ranger XP 1000 last year. We haven't had any issues with either one.

My first ATV was a Recon and I loved that thing. It went everywhere I asked it to and never had a minutes trouble out of it. It's such a fun little machine. I have a Rubicon now and it's been just as reliable and it's so comfortable on all day rides. I like Polaris side-by-sides, but when we start talking ATVs, I prefer to ride red. I hope you and your son enjoy them!

I didn't remember it being THAT expensive out there. Granted, I didn't spend a lot of time on the Hilo side of the island, but still!

21 years for me and we've had a joint account the entire time. Not once have we had a fight about money.

    Thankfully!

Just short of 46 years for us - have had joint accounts since we were married. We set a $$ limit for each of us to spend - going above that requires a discussion No issues - prioritizing our spending and discussing how we spend has allowed us to retire - Lynn at 61 and me at 65 - with no worries for our future.

I think i need to go buy a lottery ticket, because I appear to be a lucky man! No dents as far as I can tell, I'm going to need to wash all the sawdust off from cutting up the branches to determine the scratch situation but I am beyond thrilled already. My main concern when I walked out to find this was damage to the C pillar or roof and those look fine! Not to nitpick, but I couldn't help but notice my bed alignment seems off. It was off from the factory but I never measured beforehand so I can't say one way or the other if the tree altered it further. IMG-2026.jpg IMG-2030.jpg

Dang man you've got guts to do that. I couldn't do that as I'd be too afraid I'd mess up my brand new truck. But I will say this... that looks amazing! Great job.

@HeyWannaTaco The reason police cars have the red dome light is because you can see better at night with the red, much less glare.
