I have everything torn apart right now, so I will test out that harness today. I don't plan to relocate that switch yet until I can relocate the 'View' button to the center. I ordered the @MESO center switch panel so as to do that upgrade some day. Gotta get his stuff while you can! Stand by...

    @Kirru
Confirmed, fitment is the same. OEM has 5 pins connected, whereas 12voltsolutions has all 8 wires in place.

Left is OEM, right is 12VoltSolutions extension harness head

OEM has these 5 pins wired up. 12VoltSolutions has all 8 pins wired.

Probably did that as a buffer incase there was some manufaturing differences. Good to know it works. I am wanting to move it next to the sunroof switch, where it should have been from the start haha
Maybe Meso can figure out a new panel for that as well. In the meantime, I may rig it up to work.

    Thanks for verifying!

    Edit: How long is it?

I've been waiting for MESO to make more center switch panels forever. I check back every so often, and have requested to be emailed with they are back in stock. He must be crazy busy!

He just had orders open a couple weeks ago - first couple weeks of July. I ordered an 8 button center panel replacement, but it hasn't shipped yet.

I didn't test that the window switch worked with the harness in between, just tested fitment - FYI! I am sure it would work fine.

Just saw this, let me measure... 57 inches tip to tip.

Well, I guess I missed the email if he sent one. Otherwise that option isn't reliable.

BTW, what is the (+$2.50 - One Small (B)) option below where you select the panel?

There are A, B, and C style switch slots. I think the B slot is the window switch with the small notch out on the bottom side for better access.

Older post, but I just wanted to say that none of the switch panels are discontinued, and were in fact still being used in production at the time of this post.

    55434-04060-C0 - 2016-2019 with 3 switch openings and 12V outlet
    55434-04070-C0 - 2016-2019 with 5 switch openings and 12V outlet
55434-04080-C0 - 2018-2019 with 5 regular switch openings, 1 rear window switch opening, and 12V outlet
55434-04090-C0 - 2020 with 4 regular switch openings, 1 rear window switch opening, 1 smaller USB input opening, and 12V outlet

All are still available to be purchased.

It would be nice if there was a picture directly related to the option.

Not sure I understand exactly what you are looking for, but my ‘17 came with the three switch panel, ordered the one @Jeff Lange mentioned 5 switch, and made it work. Nothing complicated and the relocate harness is working just fine.

Is cutting and soldering about the only way to move these switches around easily?

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
It's been driving me crazy that the rear window button, which gets used every time I enter or exit the vehicle, is in the most inaccessible location behind the shifter, while the BSM & wireless charger button, which will literally never be pressed, are in the most accessible slots.

Today I decided to swap them around.

Took a little longer than expected, since Toyota put grooves in the switch to prevent them from being moved (I don't understand what they have against this), so those had to be shaved off, but it was otherwise pretty straightforward.

I was concerned that it wouldn't work without the little bevel they put into the factory slot, but there's still plenty of room for the button to be depressed.

The wire is a little tighter than I would like, so I'll probably grab an extension harness if i can find one! I don't really want to splice wires while it's still under warranty.

While I had my hands in there, I also took the opportunity to unplug the light in the wireless charger cubby (aka the really expensive pen & spare change holder).

I was going to move the USB port over towards the cigarette lighter, but apparently they used a different sized slot for that.

Edit: I intend to put this in a different thread, rather than resurrect an old one, but I'll leave it now.
