Just throwing this out there as something Bannerman and I kind of discussed .... Is anyone Interested in a Bike Park Trip possibly up to Snowshoe ? Its a bit of a Haul for most of us ( I think around 5-6 hours from charlotte so would probably be a 2 day trip)

Also non bike related (probably more geared towards this forum)- I picked up some contract work for a company that is interested in developing aftermarket bumpers, fenders, roof racks, etc and was curious just as general impression any of your thoughts on the Premium Brands, Mid Level Brands, and Entry level brands and if there were any specific areas that you guys can think of that aren't being addressed in offerings today. I am not super familiar with all of this so trying to do a little research. If you have a chance and want to talk please shoot me a email or give me a call. eidsondesign@gmail.com

    Thanks

    Dave

I'm probably in for snowshoe, depending on schedule. I've never ridden there.

As far as bumpers go, something stock-ish size and proportions that doesn't look silly on the road but still offers real off road protection.

In! I try to get up there a few times a winter, haven’t made the summer bike park trip yet.

Would be down to try to find a campsite around there too

Is snowshoe pretty much DH/Freeride only? I'll be honest and say I'm pretty much a 'no' if it is. I can't see myself making a longish trek for riding that just isn't my thing. I'm too old and broken already to try and learn something new.

I'll put some thought towards your other question and get back to you.

Sidenote, you get that Zipp Moto/Hydra wheelset rolling yet?

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

I hope that's not the case. I'll be on a adventure hardtail.

From what I’ve seen, it is. I’m hardtail only for now so I would probably just rent one of their full suspensions

Looks like there is some descent XC stuff nearby.

45 miles and 5k of climbing is probably about my limit for a day of riding but I'd give it a go. Would be nice to get another IMBA Epic ride under my belt, too.

Just messing with ya. Your bike has seen more seat time in 1 month than mine has all year. These KTMs just keep calling me. Got addicted to the big air and speed!
The landscaping business really kicked my stamina into another league. We can ride these suckers wide open for 5hrs. Then I sleep for 12 ;)

As long as the FSR is available, the option is on my mind. Truthfully that’s the primary reason I’ve put my name in line on that rack grant has. If I add a RTT I think I may need to upgrade my rack system beyond the current two bar Yakima setup I have.

The Prinsu is nice but certainly not a necessity for a RTT

well that seals the deal that I don't want to come.

but actually I don't have anymore vacay time to take for this year with what I've already got planned. I wouldn't be able to make a quick weekend out of it like I did NC....even that was pushing it.
