Does any one know where I can find taller gears for a 06 tacoma X-tra cab V6 4X4. The truck just runs at to high an RPM at highway speeds. I need both front and rear ring and pinion gears. Thanks.

Other than trying Ebay, I'm not sure...
I'm sure someone with more insight will come along.

Is this something you'll be doing on your own? Have you priced out how much it would costs to do the conversion? I can be pretty expensive labor wise to change out all three gearsets. Right now our trucks have 3.73 gears in them. Any thing bigger like say a 3.07, would make you truck pretty gutless, no pull of the line, and you wouldn't have much or a towing capacity.

Out of curiosity, how do those gear sizes compare so what might be found in a passenger car, like maybe a Taurus with a 6-cylinder?

Curiosity...what type of rpm are you running at highway speeds, it shoul not be much more than 2k on a flat stretch?
