I think McLaren is, possibly Renault. Williams? I doubt since they are so closely tied to Mercedes And Susie Wolff is something something at the company.

I think commitment to race is different than the Concorde agreement.
I’m also curious as to what the deal is with the new Spanish and Chinese teams that apparently are approved by the Fia before the corona virus hit.
I wonder if they are hoping for a team to sell for cheaper Infrastructure or if they reconsidered.

two new teams would be good for the sport in my mind. So much great talent out there. (And relax the engineering rules please)

i've been sitting here with a F1 friend trying to figure what that backroom deal looked like. we're coming up with all kinds of stuff. because this was not about Alonso winning.

I tried to watch... he is annoying. It’s 100% personal bias on my part as to why he is annoying lol.

through the years, watching him race and watching the teams he was part of disintegrate for “everyone else’s fault” yet the media praised him more and more the more he screwed around.

And then I started reading the tell all books and watching interviews of drivers and team personnel that had retired. No one had much good to say about him and either hinted or straight told stories about how he worked in teams and details of mandatory one sided clauses in his contracts.

And then I found out about Zak Brown and Alonso’s relationship with a media conglomerate.

let’s assume you are will buxton. You have been let go from nbc sn and you have a part time gig with F1. You make a significant portion of your income from syndication of your Written editorials.
Alonso controls that.
Of course you are going to kiss his ass.

by the way, Zak brown stepped down from that board last year. I think he was ordered too by the money behind Maclaren. Told to focus on F1 and Indy or F1 and media.

At the end of the day, Alonso is coached/managed/advised by flavio... who is a shifty guy to say the least. Alonso’s two successful years were riddled with controversy. His lemans wins were a joke...
I feel bad for vandoorne. He was given nothing. Never a true tow in qualifying even let alone an equal aero package. I certainly hope Cyril doesn’t do the same to Ocon.
