Probably has a leak at the head gasket at a minimum because the leak is heating up the coolant quicker than normal, it is a sign but it's not "proof" so you really need to do a compression test and a leak down test to disprove/confirm a bad head gasket/cracks in the head.

On my first gen (3.4L V6) that I used to own a very similar situation as yours occured to mine. Due to time and work constraints I had a shop replace the head gaskets, check the heads for cracks, rebuild the heads, and put it all back together for me. The problem persisted after that $1,800+ bill which means the engine's block must have been cracked instead of just a head gasket. Hindsight is 20/20 and I should have replaced the entire engine with a used one which I ended up doing anyway.

 

A 6x9 has the approximate cone area of a 8" woofer. 1 8" woofer in a sealed box will be 3db quieter than 2 6x9's with the same amount of power. To equal the sound volume of 2 6x9's the 8" woofer in a sealed enclosure will require double the watts that the 6x9's receive. As far as sound quality a single 8" woofer in a sealed or ported enclosure will sound better than 2 6x9's that don't have enclosures. If you put the 6x9's in enclosures in the doors the bass would be a sh!t ton better than stock but unless you added dedicated midrange speakers the single 8" would still sound better than the 2 6x9's in enclosures because the 6x9's would have to play too wide of a range of frequencies to be able to accurately reproduce good bass and reproduce all of the other frequencies.

The better option is to add a single 12" woofer, versus an 8" woofer, and crossover the 12" and the 6x9's between 65Hz and 80Hz.

No. They each plug into the bulb socket for the plate lights. Just marker lights.

Yes, nobody freak out it isn't a Toyota filter! I service 6 vehicles and buy about 10-12 filters a year so these work out to $4 a pop. Made in USA and are built really well. Also got the oil on sale last year for $10, so a complete synthetic oil change for $14 (minus $32 for a 12 pack, 6 pack, and 4 pack of beer. I'm not an alcoholic, just like variety dammit!). All the service is caught up for now, only taken a year to undo the previous owners neglect...

 

When you install the Pop N Lock you key it to whatever key you want .. but using the ignition key is simple. I assume the 2nd Gen Tacomas have different ignition keys.
