you stated "you have an awesome second vehicle for daily gas saving"

somehow...that doesn't say "do you take the tent off for mpg in the tacoma?"

I'm not sure how, maybe because they aren't the same at all, but maybe not.

visibility better, truck isn’t as sluggish, cover collect sunfade. Tents exposed to elements so in theory quicker deterioration.

just don’t see the point. Truck just drives better Offroad. You’d have to drive my truck to understand really.

It’s not about gas it’s about how my truck drives with the tent off that I like.

Im willing to bet with the added weight of the diff and tcase on the front coils it will do alot better then. Right now the nose is so light and the back is so heavy. That 4cyl dont weight much.

Im probably going to sell my offroad trailer in a few months and build something a little better suited for our family (i hope). The constant quest of trying to be more organized has made me lean towards a new and i think cooler option. We shall see. @BamaTaco56 and me have done some talking about it and i think hes on board. So if anyone wants an adventure trailer pretty much ready to go(i will be taking my axle, wheels, and tires but will come with something on it) just hollar at me.

Its about 150lb but wind drag is also and issue and it makes you a little more top heavy. Also what matt pointed out the rear end is heavier than the front.

Been building it for over a year. It was a massive one lol. Lots of lessons learned and lots of organization and storage issues.

Ive got a little bit up there now with the bumper and winch bigger battery and air compressor but the front diff and cv's will be about another 115lb.

How did your truck drive fully armored and with the trailer?
