I found mine by searching ebay for sellers of seats, regardless of the type, that were within a reasonable drive for me. Once I found a seller, I got in contact and went to see his inventory. I only paid $220 for my BMW seats, gray leather, 6 way adjust, lumbar, heat. This guy had probably close to a hundred sets of seats in a storage building.

Hadn't heard of component problems with 700s but the concept makes sense. Are there any threads that I can read up on?

Lmao... All those are on lists of future trips. This is going to be a bit of a quick trip (6 days). Main objective is spend a couple days in Colorado with my kid. The rest is just a road trip/adventure "fuckit get in the truck and let's drive" type deal with the wife.

My kid is having a bit of a deal with some baggage he brought home from Afganistan. And this Covid isolation bullshit is not helping. We just want to get back there and show the kid we're in his corner... and make a road trip in to it.

Never really thought about the extra carnage that could be endused from a 700# coil. It makes sense but I feel like you could almost make the argument in the other direction.

My 4Runner is a heavy bitch and it's only getting heavier. I've been thinking about swapping to 700#s but maybe I should throw some reinforcements in a few places before that just incase the 700s do cause more carnage.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

The shocks I have on order have 700# springs coming with them. I'll be sure to let ya know what I think. And you'll get a chance to see them in action... some day... flaker.

Yea weight definitely takes a toll.

Once my truck starts to get even heavier, i'll prob throw some straps on the coil buckets just for safe measure since it seems to be a pretty common point of failure these days.

I forget who did it, but someone in that thread I linked before did that and I like that approach much better than just welding on a thicker plate to the top hat.

    EDIT: Found it

Looking at beefing up the top plate area and double shearing the UCAs but it looks like a pain in the ass to get in there and actually do it. Maybe it's not as bad as I'm thinking, but it keeps getting put off.

I knew that last bit was coming...

I've been meaning to ask you when the new shocks will be in. Any guess on lead time?
Front weight wise, we're probably pretty close. Interested to hear your thoughts on the 700#

I planned on doing something like the below.
    https://eimkeith.com/buystuff/stk/

I got my solo arms with strap mounts. Need to get around to actually throwing those on too.

I ordered them 4 weeks ago and was told at the time 4 to 6 weeks. I ended up going with Fox because ADS was looking to be an even longer wait.
