20200703_204838.jpg I made this 1 to mount inside the cab. Front bumper lights, dust lights, engine bay lights, interior lights for now, will be adding chase lights and a cheap train horn. And sill have plenty to add more. Mounting in the cab cause I'm cutting out the wheel wells out and don't want any mud, water and debris collecting on it

I bought one of the L shaped mounts and just cut off the end so its just a rectangle and it fits between the fender and the reservoir. I have a bussman installed on mine but its enough room for a blue sea panel. you might have to put the circuit breaker on the factory fuse box lid if you don't have enough room. I'll try to grab a picture later

Good thing you did that! Mine cut through the brake booster wiring harness and well I have no brakes. Going to post a write up in a little bit.

DESIGN FLAW IN THE OVERLAND EQUIPPED AUXILIARY POWER KIT!!! After you read this nightmare, check out yours!!
Got start my car after work this morning and the beeping doesn’t stop, dash has all brake warnings and the info center says Braking Power Low. Get the truck to the dealership and they check it out and they said that the panel cut through the brake booster wires shorting the brake system out. Right now I am looking at about a $500 bill IF my computer isn’t messed up and that’s IF they can put a new end to the harness. The wiring harness said cost about $1000 alone!!!! The last image with the blue circle was taken right off of Overland Equipped’s page and you can clearly see the edge of the panel on the wire. Terrible design flaw!!!! Next step is to contact Overland and let them know about this saga. So if you have an Overland Equipped auxiliary fuse kit, check yours out, return it or do whatever you have to do to get it off that wire. Learn from my lessons. Be safe everyone.

That is really terrible that it shorted out, but don't let them charge you $1k for the harness if it's just that section of wire that's damaged. All you have to do is cut out the damaged part, solder in new wire, and crimp a new pin on the end. Total cost is about $5.

Just stumbled onto this post! Brilliant with the roasting pan - going to be my goto material when I have to redo my mount-up.

This looks amazing. I was about to post a pic of my backyard fabricated, wrong tool for the job using mounting plate......then I saw your water jet, Cad designed, ready for production plate....... I think I'll just keep mine to myself. Well done.

A simple L bracket mount in my 4Runner but they are similar. I have added more stuff since then and more to add still.

As long as you didn't use 3" screws as that's what was laying around.

What do you do for relays? Many of the most common aftermarket switches(CH4X4, ARB, Amazon, Caliraised, etc.) are only rated for 3A and I would only use them for relay triggers. Some have 20A switches but then you need to run fat wires into the cab.

Let me get it finished up, and I will post it. The awesome thing about tacomaworld is that I am still gaining new inspiration and ideas for adjustments. My parts will be arriving Tuesday, so I'll get some photos soon.

    No 3 inch screws.

I have three switches installed in the cab but only one is currently hooked up. It's for the light bar. I used 12G marine grade wire in the back then thru the cab into the engine compartment. The relay for that is next to the fuse box. If I wanted to add more I would make a bracket and bolt it to the two nutserts on the drivers side. The red wire is for any low power hot accessories in the cab.

The Relays for the HID lights are located at the front of the vehicle on either side of the radiator.

I have been busy with other things around the house the last few months so the 4Runner hasn't been as much of a priority. I did install a new head unit and sequential turn signals in the mirrors this month. The rest is waiting for it to cool down. I don't have the tolerance for working in the heat these days. I 3D printed brackets to mount rock lights on the inside of my rock sliders. I also have the mounts and lights ready to install in he cowel.

‘Blank’ power tray and some blue sea stuff. Normally fab my own stuff but can’t beat the power tray, we’ll worth it IMO.

Thanks for the heads up. They just sent out emails to owners to check and readjust the bracket
