I didn't think I would like the current boat as much, but I like it way moarerer. With the stick steering you never have to get up! Except to piss!

 

Good lookin express , I think a 17to 18 ft be good for us three to take out with too much movement still gunna be a lil while maybe another yr on the truck then I’ll start lookin

 

17-18 is plenty big for your family. What kind are you considering?

Imo...that's the best boat there is. They've done it a long time, they know what's up.

2 things to think about;
1. I wasn't crazy about carpet until I had the Xpress...it had no carpet and the floor got hot as hell! No barefoot fishing in the hot summer in that boat!

Yea but cast nets don’t work real well with carpet , they have a foam flooring in their bass model which is pretty cool

 

You'll be fine with that weight. If I can pull a 5000lb trailer up a hill (albeit rather painfully) then you can pull 2000lbs no problem.

F this day. After i left 2 yesterday, some guy brought in 3 of the most poorly maintained Stihl chainsaws, all different models, and wants them running...at bare minimum cost. FFS.

 

Probably picked them up at Denios.

I was just reading about that. I like the idea of padding vs carpet. Won't get all stanky from the throw net.

I told him I'll keep him up to date and approval on new stuff. One already needs a new carb, probably a fuel filter, lines(maybe) and hoping the rings aren't bad, although it sure seems like it. That one is sitting now. Next one has lots of dirt in the tank...so we're off to a good start

 

I know, but it's still only 2000lbs.
