Building a 6.5 cm AR-10, preferably fully-ambi and billet

Which companies are shipping to us? If no one is shipping to us, who is my new BFF in ID or OR?

 

I have an upper for a 6.5 Creedmoor, and might have an 80% lower with internals laying around, and mags

 

which lower?Complete upper?length?barrel profile? Aftermarket trigger? I’m trying to build this thing sub 8lbs before optic and suppressor. I’m definitely interested in the mags and possibly the 80

 

Can remember what all the parts are but I do know I had a Ballistic Advantage 20" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel that weighs a metric ton lol

I read that in Oregon I am allowed to have a loaded or unloaded gun in a vehicle without an Oregon concealed permit so long as it is not concealed and not readily accessible. Does that apply to non-residents? I ask because I will be traveling on a week long trip to some remote parts of Eastern Oregon and would like to have my pistol with me.

 

How can a firearm be both unconcealed and not readily accessible?

 

My understanding is without an Oregon CHL, the firearm must be in a locked compartment and the key must not be in the lock. You can find this info here, under 4b https://www.oregonlaws.org/ors/166.250

 

My wording may be incorrect, but I take it as it must be locked away in a container with locks, no key inserted, and away from where you can readily access it.

Not knocking you at all, I would be 100% unsurprised if there was a law that said something contradictory like that and was impossible to follow.

 

I stopped in at the Grant County Sheriff's office on July 3rd to get my non-res Oregon concealed carry permit but they were closed. Next trip I need to be there during a weekday and not next to a holiday. You just need a certificate of some safety course or hunters ed. Not all Sheriffs will issue non-res but Grant County is awesome.

 

Sounds like WA gun and fish and wildlife regulations.

Lol! I was thinking about this earlier! Just wasn’t sure if it was something actually in the regulation or something my buddy’s made up.
I only hunt ones that are looking for a ride home.

 

that's funny, I know a guy in Oregon that told me this is a rule but I've never seen it in the regulations. This guy isn't that bright but it's a funny story.

 

Agreed, and Wasco county is very pro 2nd as well, which is where I got my non-resident permit.

You know. I think it was something taught in hunters safety(I took 24+years ago). But don’t find it in the Oregon’s big game regulations
