Im looking into buying an 05 prerunner without a rear locker. I would like to know how much it would cost me to install an aftermarket locker??? Thanks.

I was quoted parts and install for like 1200 at one time you will need the air compressor they have in order to activate it.

My 2004 TRD Pre-Runner came stock with the rear locker as there was no Sport Edition (that I know of) at that time. Bit of advice (take or leave it): when ever I buy a vehicle I run the VIN to verify model and options. Best way to check is to call toyota customer care @1-800-331-4331 ask them to run the VIN. The seller, if honest, should not have a problem with this. Remeber...allways "CYA". Hope this helps.

dude, no they dont. only the trd prerunner has a locker. the sports have a LSD and the rest are open differnetials. trust me, i have an 05 prerunner w/ an open diff.

the 09 are supposedly a different story, but OP is talking about an 05.

    the 05+ V6 have 3.73 oem, the 05+ 4bangers i believe came stock w/ 4.10.

the best way to check is toyota.com brochures, there is a line for rear diff.
