This reads like an HGTV / Bob Villa show. Thanks Rob! I have about 1.15 acre of grass with some gradual slopes, nothing like a steep drop off but enough to make a self propelled lawn mower to start to slide sideways. I have some wooded areas as well. I would like to be able to run accessories, when I was in NC I had the aerator, the mini hauler, and a spreader, but that was about 10yrs ago. I've been out the game for a while so want make a sound buy that will last.

I also know my son will want to "ride with daddy", while it shouldn't impact my choice too much, does have me hesitant about zero turns with out a steering wheel.

 

I spent my 20's working three jobs to make ends meet raising my first son.

I wish I had spent it in punk bars instead.

My youngest son was bitching last Spring when he did his taxes. Really sucks to be 22y/o and making six figures. I was making $800/month when I was his age.

I've never been to the event but I've been to rausch plenty of times. Rausch is fun, just don't expect much from the event side of the house itself.

Is anyone going to Peter's Mill this weekend? Friend of mine might have to bow out due to family reasons and I'm wary of going alone. Plan was to head over Sunday morning and come back Sunday evening.

 

My experience with events so far is *usually* it just makes more sense to put together a group of people and go to the park to wheel on a non-event weekend. Less crowded, and you don't have to pay a fee to participate in an event that is generally lackluster. So far the exception to that has been the overland challenge hosted at uwharrie. That was a lot of fun.

 

While I never advocate going wheeling alone, peters mill run really is a safe place to go alone. It's very easy and it's well-traveled. But if you can find anyone, bring them along.
