The antibody tests they are administering, is only 50% accurate. The numbers are skewed, and don’t accurately portray the situation at hand. I just wish folks would find better sources for this information other than the media.

Maybe one of you will have an idea of whats wrong.

2010 model Briggs and Stratton 17.5 engine. Model 31G777. Its on a John Deere riding mower.

It was running fine 2 weeks ago, this past weekend it just shut off. Gas gauge was empty, filled it up but that apparently was just a coincidence. Turning the ignition only yields the motor turning over about a 1/4" to 1/2". Sometimes, but rarely, it will completely rotate all the way around.

First check was the battery. 100% good.
    Solenoid check. Good
    Wires check. Good
    Installed a new starter
    Installed new spark plug
Nothing binding on the belts under the mower at the crank.

I can turn the motor over by hand without the spark plug installed. The ignition turns the motor over without the spark plug installed. I can turn the motor over using a wrench on the flywheel with the spark plug installed. Ignition won't turn the motor over with spark plug installed. Seems to me everything inside the motor is good. On the exhaust valve there is a little bump at the top of the stroke. Online search yielded that this is what you want because it means a pressure valve is working properly inside the motor.

This evening I am going to adjust the valves. If that doesn't work I seriously have no idea what could be the issue.

    Any thoughts?

Can anyone recommend a shop in the Hoover to Alabaster area that can install an Eibach pro lift kit? Got a quote from a well known one down the road that I deem to high.

We are doing a mod day next month if you want to wait until then. We are installing @gixxerphil suspension then too.

I'm still undecided on whether i want the blocks in the rear or AAL.

I have the option to order them assembled or unassembled. The eibach kit comes with new springs

Get them assembled 100%. If you ever think you'll be adding weight in the front go ahead and get the heavy springs.
    Also never pay shipping.
It's all a matter of what you want to spend now.. nothing wrong with any option between block, AAL, or new leaf pack depending on use.

Hit up one of the vendors on here, I can't recommend or discredit anyone as I bought all of my suspension used.
