Hello all. I need some advice. I own a 2019 Toyota Tacoma sr5 and I want to get bigger and aggressive tires without any lift. I presently have 245/75R16. Any suggestions?

255 85 16 is a full 33, most are E rated, heavy, expensive. But no rub no cut no lift when on the OE wheels.

If you are offroading a good bit in harsher conditions, likely a good choice.

If you are mall posing ('look aggressive', 'installed step bars' is a hint) then you'll need a smaller tire, like a 265

    My thoughts.

Buy the right tire for how you use the truck 90% of the time, not what you 'might do' someday. Looks can certainly be part of that selection, but low on the list.

Don't post the same topic in multiple forums. You're new, but mods won't care for repeat performances.

Thanks for the reply. Are 255 85 16 aggressive tires? And if so, no lift is needed, correct?
265 is still aggressive enough and bigger than my original size tires?

Depending on the wheel size your looking at you can also do one of these:

    16" wheel
265/70/16 - stock size on the TRD OR/Pro
265/75/16 - 1" taller than the size above

    17" wheel
265/65/17 - stock size on the TRD Sport
265/70/17 - 1" taller than the size above

With the options above you should be fine with stock suspension. You will probably find more tire options if you go with a 17" wheel.

Thanks a lot. I want to keep the same rims. So I can go with either 16" or 17" on my 2019 Tacoma sr5 with no lift ??

If you have 16" rims you need to stay with tires that fit a 16" rim. The tallest you can go without a lift would be the 255/85/16. The aggressiveness of the tire is going to depend on the tread pattern of whatever brand you choose.

Yes, either size will work with the stock suspension. The tire size is what will determine if you have any rubbing.

EDIT: Either wheel size will work, but if you want to stick with your stock rims then you need a 16" tire

Yes I presently have 245 75 16 that came with the car. And I want to keep the same rims. Just looking for meaner and aggressive tires. What would be a tread pattern that looks aggressive?

The one I like is the Cooper ST Maxx, which makes one that would fit your rims...

I'm sorry, so confused. It's not you guys. It's me. I really don't know what to do. I'm all new to this. I just want to keep the same rims. Put new agrressive tires. And not break the bank. So do I keep 16" with all terrain aggressive tires?

Well... if you want to keep the same rims you need to get 16" tires. You can't put 17" tires on a 16" rim. The dimensions (width and height) of the tire and tread pattern will determine how aggressive they are. The link here is a tire that will fit your rim. https://simpletire.com/cooper-lt255-85r16-90000019869-tires

    So, 255 85 16 will fit on my presently 245 75 16 that I have on now?

Along with 265/70/16 or 265/75/16 as other options??

They look pretty aggressive but I have never heard of the manufacturer. Maybe others on here know something about Crosswind...
