I've been wanting one for a while, between little things for the Tacoma, my LS 400, and Milwaukee stuff I've got a list. Some stuff is available through online repos just download, send it and print. Others need a file created. Once I get it dialed in, and a feel for what works and doesn't work I'm open for suggestions or requests. I've been told it's not as easy as it seems and a lot of people get frustrated when prints don't turn out then decide to give up and sell their printer.

Who is interested in a run to Tahuya within the next month? I need to go get some parts from @velillen and figured I might as well hit it while I’m in his area

ETA: the 26th is ideal for me

So many people buy cheap and expect pro level prints. Which your cheap printer won't do. Let alone jumping right into complex parts. It is a benefit in the cheaper machines in the printable upgrade parts let you get some practice before doing things yourself.

There's definitely a market for selling parts. Hello just go to thingsverse browse around and post up stuff you find there to print and people pay for it.

This, I just glued mine on with some aircraft seal but that gave up a couple years ago. It does rattle on the A-pillar sometimes but I just figure it's another part of the band along with the squeeky springs, creaky UCAs and chirping throwout bearing.

I bought an Amazon snorkel and am worried its going to split if I don't secure it, It also started to sag a little since its made for a Prado so it likely needs to come off, get massaged with a heat gun and reinstalled which is a massive pain in the dick and balls.

That makes sense, these Aussie snorkels have like 6 studs through the fender so it is on there pretty damn secure even without the a-pillar mount. the top 2 nuts were an absolute pain in the dick to get on and tight though, I had to loosen the whole fender and wedge it out just to get the the nut on and have room for my hand and a wrench that would move it about 1/12 of a turn at a time.

I didn't even get the top 2 on the fender in there. :annoyed::bananadead:

Just gave the rest of them a good coat of Loctite. If it comes off, it's taking the whole fender with it. I couldn't get my fender to loosen up even with all the bolts removed. There was a thick bead of seamsealer it looked like that they used to glue that fender to the cab.

That’s how it was for the tacoma. Lexus went smoothly for the most part. Biggest issues I have with installing a snorkel is the templates seem to be garbage most the time.
