Hopefully fitting in a little of both but we shall see. We've got a lot of stuff posted for sale and it seems like everyone wants to pick up "Saturday afternoon" We've got a few painting and indoor projects to take care of but I'm hoping during the heat of the day when we're inclined to take a break that we're able to run down to my sisters and get in some pool time and relax a little.

But if not, it'll just be house stuff

How long is your vacation? Any plans?

Yeah... Seven days a week for the last almost month. We ripped out, raised, widened and re dry walled and painted all of the entryways upstairs. The main entryway had this stupid arch with columns on either side that we ripped out as well. Painted all guestrooms and hallway, laundry room and office along with living room, kitchen and dining room. Replaced entry way light, dining room lights and all exterior lights upstairs and down. Even added a security screen door to my MIL apt downstairs.

We're exhausted but loving the changes. Our contractor friends are in Wi for two weeks helping their nephew with some projects so we catch a break. When they get back we'll do the floor and will do the granite. Can't wait for this to be done.

Ahh yes! House hunting! The most exciting and frustrating time of one's life rolled into one crazy package. You and the Mrs. on the same page about what you're looking for at least? That IMO is the key to success. Hope it all goes perfectly for you man!

Cool that you're at least looking for something similar. Much easier to steer your partner into a better neighborhood than to convince them to change what they're looking for as far as style, features etc...

When I was with my first wife she'd find places in what I considered to be sketchy neighborhoods. I'd take her through the same hood she thought was charming at 1000am on a Monday at 1000pm on a Friday night when more people were home to show her another view. For as stubborn as she was it always worked.

Lol ^^this. Also look up street view and satellite view of the neighborhoods. You'll get a whole new perspective of the area seeing how many cars line the streets or where your potential hoarder houses are.

Also, unless you like rules don't do an HOA. Just don't. It'll make you miserable. You'll convince yourself that the rules are smart and logical until you get a nasty gram saying you can't park your boat at your house or your garbage can has to be behind the fence and that one time you left it out they bitched.

You people in HOA's are crazy.
