They using it for cut bait or were they gonna eat it? I know everyone rips on eating them, I've never tried eating carp either. I'm not a big fish eater. I love catching them though. Carp get big and they fight hard

That's a different shape of carp than we see out here.

I'm a big fish eater and carp really isnt for the faint of heart. Very 'fishy' taste and HUGE bones to pick through. But I'd never say no

I'm also a dummy cause I saw that size and instantly thought catfish not carp lol

Nothing terrible about that, I know you're being funny. :D
Plenty of people pull them out and just leave them rotting on the bank. I dunno, if I was intent on them not going back alive I'd at least want the fish meat going back in the water to continue to feed the ecosystem or whatever. It can feed other fish that I can catch:D like chumming in the cats:cool:

I can’t stand the reel at home. This will be perfect to replace it.

Can even squeeze a 100ft hose on it apparently

Catfish is great eating. I guess I do like ocean fish. Not big on fishy fish, like trout and salmon. But white fish meat like walleye and bass I've tried have been great. Same with wipers. That was excellent too. And ocean fish like halibut and back east I eat soft shell crab and that's so good.
I guess I just not big on the fishy type of fish. But I'll still eat it, I just don't get all 'OMG I can't wait to eat this trout!' but I do get all that way about going fishing for big fish :bananadance::D

    Like this one?

I read through this when I first joined.. laughed my ass off at SO much stuff!

It can be a little garbled with the old stuff since posts get deleted and sometimes every post from a certain member will be gone but you can sometimes read it in the quotes

We'd be great fishing buddies then! I'm all about eating it.. pretty much anything you pull outta the water. Given my poor fishing skills I go more for the ambiance lol and if I catch anything it's trout or small mouth bass

oh man, farm salmon definitely has an extra fishy taste. My uncle is a commercial salmon fisherman and eating caught King or Sockeye spoiled me on anything sold in grocery stores and chain restaurants

The owner dried up the water before the dam and it was flapping around out there so they got it and ate it
