Used to happen to me all the time when i was younger. Can confirm not fun.

 

Mine was a grizzly bear attacking my dad and then turning and coming for me at our farm, i couldnt move or make a noise no matter how hard i tried. I always woke up when it reached me. Everynight for almost a year, have no clue where it came from. Now all my bad breams consist of wolves or werewolves, but i can move and make noise lol.

 

Yea me too, I had it once, pretty terrifying. A guy in the closet with an axe and bright red eyes was coming toward me. Thankfully I was in college sharing a bunk and when I started screaming, my roommate below me started kicking the bottom of my bed telling me to STFU. Good times. Now I just have lucid dreams occasionally, which at least I can partially control

Well if you've never taken melatonin don't take 10mg hah. Start with 5mg to see how your body reacts upon waking up....don't wanna be sluggish unless that's your normal routine without coffee/caffeine. I've got major insomnia and even 15mg I only get about 5 hours sleep but I'm dead to the world for those 5 hours.

 

I've never taken any, I sleep fine...great even. I'm a morning person so I don't feel too sluggish when I wake up, but I still have coffee because I love it lol.

 

I had horrible nightmares as a kid but never experienced the paralysis. My Mom would come running in, I'd be screaming but it was after the nightmare woke me up. Most of the nightmares were triggered by the wicked witch of the west. That green faced psychopath can go rot in a ditch for all I care.

I slept walk in my younger years. More times than I can remember that my dad came running into garage where I was asleep sitting on my four wheeler and reving it up. Another time when I was 14 walked through living room, where my older (17 at time) sister was having a slumber party. Proceeded to walk out front door and piss, then go back to inside and lay next to one of her friends (a crush) and continue to snooze. It got weird in the morning.
