I know it's a long shot, but I figure what the heck...

I just turned in my leased Taco and would like to get another one. I have a 2007 Lotus Exige S. I bought it for over $50k and put about $50k in mods into it, for about $100,000. I know, obviously, I won't get anywhere near that out of it, but I would like to trade for your 3rd Gen Taco.

    I am looking for:

White, Quicksand, Inferno 3rd Gen TRD Pro or will consider an OR.
I will consider a cement or possibly red, maybe, if it's the right truck.

    Looking for DCSB only.

Must have Automatic transmission, no manuals! Built would be better, but would consider stock/close to stock.

For the Pro I'd go $20k cash + the Lotus and for an OR, looking for $25k cash + the Lotus.

Pictures of the Lotus enclosed. There is some slight rear-end fiberglass damage from getting rear-ended a few months ago that I haven't fixed yet, mainly because I don't know any good fiberglass guys or places around here. Mechanically the car is 100% sound and can be used as a daily driver and is perfectly reliable.

    Mods list (incomplete):

    BOE 300HP Tune
    Full 5-point racing harness
    Upgraded / lightened pulleys
Ported/polished cylinder head and intake manifold
    Upgraded/lightened cylinders
    Upgraded/lightened camshaft
    Tuned suspension
    Full Carbon Fiber interior
    Carbon Fiber footrest
    Carbon Fiber shift knob
    SS stalks
    Alloy pedals
    Upgraded dash panel
    Carbon Fiber Hydrodipped wheels
    Yellow Powder coated frame bars
    Yellow Powder coated supercharger
    Racing Injectors
    Racing Fuel Pump
    BOE Clam Hinge
    BOE Exhaust & Bracket relocation
    Upgraded radiator
    Baffled oil pan
Reamed and ducted top air intake
Carbon fiber ducted side air intake
2010+ Rear Wing w/ Carbon Fiber wrap
    Carbon Fiber Shark Fins
    Full Starshield clear wrap
    Carbon Fiber front splitter
Sector 111 Underbody rear arm air deflectors
    Sector 111 Exhaust hole cover
SS Brake lines with 4 corner caliper upgrades
    Vacuum coolant reservoir Upgrade
    Battery disconnect switch
Front mount fire extinguisher bracket and fire extinguisher
    Rubber all weather mats
    Racing Mirrors

Last weigh-in was just under 1800lbs if I recall (Shaved over 200 lbs off the car). The power to weight ratio on this thing is pretty crazy.

There's a ton of other mods that I can't think of off the top of my head... but suffice to say, it's one of the quickest Lotus Exige S models in the country. All work has been done by BOE Engineering, one of (if not the) premier Lotus modification shops in the world. You are welcome to contact them to discuss the vehicle if you'd like.

Enough talk, you probably want to see... The only thing that isn't shown in the pictures is that the rear carbon fiber diffuser has been swapped for the stock diffuser (it was cracked in the rear-ending).

The car has just under 12k miles on it and going up as time goes on. Now's your chance to own an Exotic. I also have a Gallardo and this thing gets as much, if not more, attention than the Gallardo. The only reason I'm getting rid of it is that I need the garage space and I don't drive it that often, and I want another Tacoma. I can provide more pictures for serious inquiries.

To make sure I understand, you want a Pro or OR and you would be putting 20K-25KCash + Lotus on your end?

No, I want a Pro or OR and you would give me $20-25k.

Although, I would consider an additional practical vehicle in lieu of some cash, as long as it's lower mileage and in good condition.

Sounds like he wants your taco and you fork out $20-25k extra.

Literally the only place is the passenger seat. The trunk is ridiculous. There's actually a fair amount of room in the trunk itself, but the opening is the size of a hamwallet.

While I hope someone jumps on this, this is probably the looooongest shot I’ve ever seen someone take. I’m willing to bet the Lotus community would pay 80k+ for this easily, which means this man is losing money getting a second Tacoma here. Don’t let this slide.

Yeah it will be a longshot. Not sure about the $80k+ for a 2007 lotus. You can get a used GTR 2014+ for lower$$$ and it will still be way faster than a lotus.

Thats one HOT car! I've always loved the Lotus Exige/ Elise cars. They look incredibly exotic.

that's what I figured, might want to re-phrase this:

"For the Pro I'd go $20k cash + the Lotus and for an OR, looking for $25k cash + the Lotus."

BTW, that's a sweet Lotus

GTR for straight line speed, but this thing will destroy the GTR on any twisties... and let's not even talk about laps on a track. This thing weighs LESS THAN HALF a GTR, that's insane.

But yea $80K is a real stretch for it. I'd say what he is asking for, a used 3rd gen tacoma + 20K seems more in line with its value.

Valid point. It is a nice car though. For the tracks, I'd get an ariel atom.

Have you ever ridden or driven a GTR? Only ask because theyre so much more than a straight liner. Anyone doubting their ability to take anything with a curve hasnt experienced one in the curves, they feel glued to the black top. It doesnt really matter I guess though, 90% of what a car does on the track is driver dependent.
