How stable is the public 14 beta? I rely on my phone a lot for work, I told myself I would never put a beta build on it again lol but I want the iOS 14 CarPlay goodies now!

The biggest apps that I use that will not work correctly are Waze and Amazon Music. I removed the beta profile and either need to wait for an 13... update or restore my phone. I did get waze back by removing the profile, but not Amazon Music.

I updated to 14 last night. Waze wasn’t working for me on the way to work this morning. I rebooted and still nothing. I left work and went to a doctors appointment then hit Waze when I left and it started working. Kinda weird. I figured Waze just wasn’t updated for 14 yet.

Do you have any advice or instructions on how to set this up? Im assuming I just wire it directly into the battery. Id love to see more pictures, Im guessing there's a thread somewhere as well.

So is it true that this is not compatible with JBL? I ran my specs through Crutchfield and got back that this won't work.

It is definitely compatible with jbl. What year is your truck? For sure 16-19 will work with idatalink maestro. 2020 may not, don’t know for sure because I have not checked

It's a 2017 , I wonder why it says that it won't on the Crutchfield product chooser :annoyed:. So you have a JBL system and upgraded to this?

It started off showing it was compatible with both premium and JBL. Now it doesn’t show compatible at all. Not sure what’s up with that.

because they won't list it as compatible if there is any custom modifications at all required to install.

Still doesn’t make sense since there’s a dash kit that works just fine.

Maybe I missed it, but is there a detailed install write up anywhere to follow? I've done lots of projects but never a HU swap before so this one makes me a tad nervous. I've seen helpful info on the front camera install in this thread so thank you to everyone that has contributed!!
