no that is not it. that is for the vacuum line if you have a vacuum booster for your brakes. that port will always have vacuum.

I’m gonna set the table here first. WILL ANYBODY HERE BE INTERESTED IN MY DOUG THORLEY SHORTIES WITH VIBRANT HIGH FLOW CATS? I just purchased a unused set of URD long tubes o2 sims and extensions from a member here for a great deal. My set up has around 12-13k miles on them. I’ve had zero problems. I’m sure the low end of a completely unrestricted header set up is optimal however, I can say through first hand experience that my set up now provides awesome low end torque.
The reason for the switch is merely because I’ve just said to myself “fuck it”.....I’m diving in......Diving in to the Use of o2 sims. I’ve always told myself to steer clear from them as they have caused people problems. But like I said “fuck it”. My truck is set up so nicely with effective high performance mods that I’m now seeing the light to get the most out of it while still staying on the conservative end of possible issues.
My install still won’t be for a little while though, so you got time if your on the fence for my stuff. I plan on getting them ceramic coated in silver like I did my JFR pipe and rest of what’s left of my 3”exhaust from the URD MARK lll. Next week I’ll be getting my Dirt King LCA’s installed and the following week I’m getting my Stainless Works muffler installed i acquired from @DocME (thanks buddy) along with a new mandrel bent tail pipe. I’ll then be researching HPtuners a little more (really just fine tuning how @JustDSM and I will attack tuning my truck) So you still got some time. And lastly, I as always will crack off my boosted friends a good deal.

Doug Thorley? You mean the same ones which are CARB approved? Which version do you have? Stainless natural, ceramic or Titanium coated headers?

Not sure if they are CARB approved.....I believe they are however. They are the ceramic coated version. They also have the SAI tube on them which can be capped off I imagine.

We're trying to keep the catalyst readiness monitors completed because in @JuanitoBunito's situation, we'll be using our FREEBIE "incomplete" readiness monitor for something el-SAI.

In attempts to do a little downsizing here at home I have decided to no longer be a 2.3 pulley owner...

Is anyone interested in a black painted Smoothflow rip modded 2.3 pulley with a mating Gates 69.0" RPM belt to go with it? Both are in great condition. Belt has a little bit over 10K on it.

    $88 shipped gets it.

Once they are off the truck I’d be looking for $350 plus shipping.

Anyone have some info on good temp ranges I should look for? Engine oil, coolant, A/T 1/2 and intake temps? I just took a 2 hour drive each way up to Sac Area and some some pretty high temps across the board. After the A/T temp chat we have been having need to see where I can cool the truck down.

    1. A/T oil is going to get changed. My guess is I am probably low or its just toast. It was close to 100 degree in sack today and sitting in the in n out drive through the A/T temps were close to 240. Now add some offroading and boost on some slow steep inclines and prob no wonder the temp light came on.

    2. My coolant at some point hit a high fo 220 and was sitting at `195-200 on avg and only dropped when I got back to the bay and temps dropped back into the 70-80's. With the CSF the only thing I can think of is the rad shroud is not sealed up enough on the rad to keep the air funneling back.

With the sitting high and everything being hotter overall its not doing me any favors.

I held off on the 160 thermo for when i am in snow although 95% of the time its regular CA weather.

Would love to see what the ideal temp ranges are for each.

You'll be fine if you only go to the snow sometimes. It's if you live in a snowy environment consistently. Different considerations are required for cold weather vs hot weather cars.

I would change out to that cooler that @zscott posted. He still needs to post more pictures of that as well as sources if he hasn't already and I just missed it.

Fluid change should be your #1 priority above all. I'll bet the fact it is cooked is not doing you any favors in helping it do its job very well. If you can, get a power flush done, valve body job. All that jazz. You still have some work to do my dude.

yah Tranny Fluid and Valve body will be the #1. I will get to the Fuel pump as well. Justin said the stock one is doing fine right now and not maxing out (still going to upgrade it)

yah I was def waiting to see more on the one @zscott posted. I know he posted about it a few months back (I think it was him who posted). That thing (given all other stuff is good) should keep it solid. Maybe toss in the 160 since most of the time its a CA non snow truck.

The stat is easy to do without removing anything.

Sounds like you got your stuff good to go. Get back to us when you got your tranny fluid and stay done and monitor temps from there.
