Thank you. Hopefully soon I can get some before and after pics. Once I get the roof cover done I can move a little faster.

Grew up in West Los Angeles. At 3 you open up the windows and the ocean breeze cools off the house. No Ac needed. Santa Ana winds were the only miserable days.

Well happy belated birthday guess I missed that! Glad the haircut went well that is how they do it here too. Damn it felt so good to get one. A few 62+ specials around here but none for haircuts :pout:

That is perfect, just perfect! You sound a lot like a Subject Matter Expert to me, better than most of the talking heads I see on the tube

Finally a break from the heat here started yesterday about time. Got up at 4:30 to pull weeds while it was still cool and of course have coffee and take the dogs out. Rain and T-storms started around 5 and went for a couple of hours. At least it made pulling weeds a lot easier in the soft wet soil. I even was able to pull some small trees by hand. Went for about 6 hours and made a big dent in them all. Going to be hell to pay in the morning but right now feel pretty good. Considering.

Still kicking. Just finished week one of furlough, 2 more weeks to go. I have discovered naps. Naps are a good thing.

I'm with you. I stopped working outside when it hit 81° with humidity it was 91° real feel and just too much for me. Too many years in 120-140° burnt me out on the heat. But I don't want to be cold anymore either. Damn I am getting picky as I get older.

The trick to dog sledding is to be the guy in the sled, not driving it and mushing the dogs.

Average high here in July is 81° which is the hottest month. People come from all over the world to go the Clinic and I've seen people wear jackets 12 months of the year. This time of year my first thought when I see someone wear a jacket is you ain't from around here are you? When I have to go to the Jax or Az. Clinics\Hospitals in the summer I have found that I move real slow when outside, it helps LOL.

Thanks for asking Andy, OK so far. Every once in awhile he goes to see his girlfriend which makes me nervous, for both of us. He has an appointment on Monday at a Spine Clinic up in the Twin Cities so hopefully that will get better eventually. But last thing he needs is to wrestle with the Corona.

Hey Chance! She is doing well and coming along nicely. Still a work in progress at times but overall having her has been good for both me and the other dog. There are times we both wonder however LOL. Then she climbs in bed with me and snuggles. Although she is a bed hog.

Another helpful clothing tip for here is wear light colored long sleeve shirts (preferably cotton/cotton blend) and a wide brimmed hat. I wear brown pants and that doesn't help much. I can wear tan but I get pretty dirty and greasy so they show it more.

Actually that is what I wear here shooting in this heat. Exactly! With an Orvis mans best friend Panama hat and LL Bean long sleeve light colored tropic wear shirts. Tried a Duluth performance wicking T-shirt last week couple of times but was not impressed. Damn things never seem to dry out. And not a lot of wind in the summer here unless it is storming. Once they cut the corn between here and the Rockies it comes screaming through in the winter when you don't want it though.

The sun is a lot more intense there this time of year then here that is for sure. In fact all of the year.

I don’t like those wicking shirts. Cotton/blend soaks up the sweat, breathes and helps cool me down. So it works with the way our systems work. And nothing tight. I see those guys with the tight under-armor shirts and they look pretty miserable.
