What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got one recently, eats any kind of cheap junk I feed it. Sure can blow thru a pile of ammo in short order tho.....

 

Replaced my SPC upper ball joints and found a broken coil spring. Sucks, but I guess I’ll upgrade from toytec. Surprised it snapped I don’t drive the truck a lot

 

Don't go overboard with it, a vehicle sitting for a year is not that big a deal. I was deployed to Afghanistan in '11 for 14 months I literally just parked my truck in a barn the whole time I was gone without doing anything to it. I came home for 2 weeks leave and drove it then right back into the barn. I kept liability insurance on it the whole time but my insurance is super cheap, alot of guys just put storage insurance while they're gone because they got DUIs and divorces and shit that makes insurance expensive, but make sure you keep some kind of coverage on it in case the place burns down.

Rebuilt a pair of lca that I bought on here with Whiteline bushings and ball joints from NAPA. Gonna through a little paint on them tomorrow. Probably be a few more weeks before I have the time to get them installed.

I bought and installed Morimoto xb LED fogs. But I just came across the baja designs squadron SAE amber kit. Anyone have any opinions on which lights are better and if it would be worth returning the Morimoto's and spending the extra $150 on the baja designs?

Mounted the bumper! 80% done and now I need to button up a few things.

 

All fitted - now to get it sent off to a friend of mine for a good sandblasting and powdercoat.

 

I need to repaint my Mobtown bumper & tailgate skin as well. They're starting to show their age lol

 

Did they come with new clips? All of mine are held on by zip ties

 

Oh yea, load up a few of those 'happy sticks', next thing you know, 200 rounds later....

 

I just replaced mine with Dynamic Diode SS3 fog lights sport. Much better coverage and output. Return them and get BD or DD.

although Toyota wants to sell me the entire drift shaft assembly for far too much money... northerndrivetrain.com has exactly the part I need for $42. That and a drive line rebalancing will be far cheaper than the dealership option. Still, feel like a dumbass though
