I just replaced mine with Dynamic Diode SS3 fog lights sport. Much better coverage and output. Return them and get BD or DD.

That time you’re trying to massage the slip yoke on after replacing the carrier bearing and you don’t know your own strength. :muscleflexing::facepalm::angrygirl:

although Toyota wants to sell me the entire drift shaft assembly for far too much money... northerndrivetrain.com has exactly the part I need for $42. That and a drive line rebalancing will be far cheaper than the dealership option. Still, feel like a dumbass though

I took everything out of the Tacoma to re-arrange my gear. I had a lot more Things stuffed all throughout the truck than I realized. I re-organized the roof top cases so now all my tools and miscellaneous items are in the driver side case and everything recovery related is in the passenger side case. Then re organized where I put things inside.BDC93F0D-8CCE-4993-A330-39D359B2D02F.jpg

That looks like you dropped it on the flange. How the hell did you hit with a hammer on the top enough to flatten it out

I was skeptical, but it really thr crisp highs. I had the other speakers in for a couple days before the tweeters showed up and I could definitely tell the difference when they arrived.

Well without an impact, I couldn’t get it to seat quite deeply enough with my breaker bar on the nut. So I was hammering an aluminum block on the yoke to tap it down because I had one sitting on the work bench at the time. The aluminum is fine, the yoke flanges got bent til they cracked.

My wife pointed out that all the yoke ends on the drive shaft are cast in a way that leaves an obvious line across the middle of the flanges. I’m not surprised it cracked. I assumed aluminum would be soft enough. I was wrong.

Spark plugs today. Had my mechanic FIL help, mainly because 1. He had the tools and 2. The bolts on the coils were really rusty.
Had 6 brand new coil bolts to replace them. He got them off easily, and said I was lucky they came off without breaking, lol.
New vs old. Got some nice denso iridium powers.
    20200711_153033.jpg
And lo and behold, they were the original plugs. 15 years and 200k miles, the poor girl.
    She's running great now.

Also did rear differential oil, went smooth except for a trip to AutoZone to get LSD additive.

I started the front, but the fill bolt stripped(got it off) but I could even get the drain bolt off with my big Milwaukee impact. Lovely rust. So, ordered the two bolts and will tackle that next week. Don't have the fill bolt torqued all the way but it should be fine for a couple days. My FIL will have to help me with that, lol.
Didn't start transfer case because I was worn out and it was getting late.
Going camping about 3 hours away tomorrow, so at least got some of the maintenance done. My front diff will have to wait

My Tacoma pulled its weight today (more actually)

I did 3 loads of this for a total of 13,000lbs.
My trailer is ~2,000 lbs so basically my truck pulled 6,300lbs around all day. It took it like a champ. I make a point to not do loads like this often.

I underbid the job and I’m extremely disappointed/frustrated with myself but I’m trying to use it as a learning experience. I didn’t lose any money, but I didn’t make as much as I should have.

kind of just needed to vent.

Don't feel bad, I sold an old phone system and should of make $100, but I only marked $30 for shipping because I didn't check the prices, and shipping was $90. And the phone system sold for 110. Sold made like $17

The worst part of towing that kind of weight is the stock brakes on my truck were horrible.
