Has anyone sacrificed their back seat to put a big subwoofer in? Let me see your set up!

I'm totally clueless when it comes to any subwoofer bigger than 12's. Other than "why not" what's the purpose of a 15 inch subwoofer? What's the rest of your setup look like?

Just thinking outside the box here (pun fully intended!), but if you have the dreaded "taco lean" currently....a constant 80+lb subwoofer on the drivers side won't help! I still want to see it done, just giving a word of caution.

If you want it bad enough, you can build anything..... (in a Nissan Harbody, smaller than a Taco)

    it's a JL 13TW-5.
i can't say if it's worth it for you. i had dual 10W7's in a sealed box in my last installation and i don't have room for it in the Tacoma. so i decided to go for clean punch up to mid-volume but at the expense of depth. and that's exactly what i got so I'm happy with it. my SQ is going for natural clarity but not trying to get a fully balanced low end. but there is still some tweaking to do over here.

My rear sear bottom portions are removed and the back portions are folded down.
I have a 10" comp Q kicker in a sound ordinance ported box. The Q series subs require a lot of air, especially when ported .
It takes up the space behind the passenger seat but i still have all the space behind the driver. Fantastic, unblocked bass.
Focal components, lc6i, and a JLAudio 900/5 round out my system.

The Q series subs are HEAVY. So is this box. I can take curves and turns at speed and it won't slide.
I left some slack in the wire to the box so it can be moved or removed easily. Otherwise everything is pretty tucked away.

Wish I had pictures of it, but my old 1992 extended cab I had three 15 inch JBL GTX subs in it. I took it out after about 20 minutes because it was just too much.
