The 4R fund keeps growing; tiregate is getting sold this coming Thursday....keeping that shit separate from the washer and dryer I have to buy though since the washer is starting to fail too

So, last week when I was rushing and running errands (as well as doing laundry) at the house, the dryer suddenly stopped.

The clothes were just a tad damp so I turn it on again only for it to not start up.

The washer was working fine, but the SO told me 2 nights ago that it's making a weird screeching noise or something.

The units came with the house when I got it some 5-6 years ago so they're due for replacement anyway.

I just have this whole different vision with a new build than I did with my Tacoma.

I did the Tacoma up real fast, but didn't do anything major at all that I would've liked - rear shock relocation, front locker, 4x4 conversion.

Since the 4R came up for sale, I saw it as an opportunity to start over on a vehicle I had considered owning already anyway.

Depending on what cycle the washer was it thats either a cheap fix or yeah buy new.
The dryer one is weird. Idk what caused that. There could of been a few things

So when I put more time on it, and pressed the button, I heard a noise as if it "wanted to start" but never did.

Left it alone, did some more errands, and came back over an hour later and sure enough it started up but with a weird noise.

    Oof. Sounds like the motor.

I use to work on washers and dryer. But if you already made your mind up on buying new then do it. But o would say if you can live with it. Look for a top load washer with a tall agitator. Tend to be more reliable. Alot of those newer front load direct drive washers seem to have tons of issues

We had already decided on top load since it's what we have; good to know though about those front load. I'd be pissed if I spent hard earned money just to have something fail so soon again.

Idk what the actual failure rate is on products. But when i was with sears we were never slow..... and most of are work was warranty work on products less then 3 years old most the time.

Lol there is no healthy substitute; have her make it once for you, the right way, and just never eat it ever again
