What’s up guys , need help/ suggestions . My 2020 Sport 4WD has under 12K mikes on it and is mostly my daily driver to work. It has a 3 and 1 leveling kit ( yes I know it’s just temporary). When I bought my 2020 I still had my 2013 Sport which I had 5100’s with my 32’s . So I took both trucks to local shop in so cal (4 wheel unlimited) and they swapped my rims and tires from 2013 to my 2020 along with install of leveling kit( could not afford full suspension with new purchase and wanted to keep my wheels) This was back in November- truck is fine - no issues . For this reason with leveling kit- have really only used 4 high twice in snow when we went to cabin for X mas.

Fast forward, tonight I was moving truck in drive way I notice annoying noise coming from front end. I’m assuming it’s my suspension. Crazy thing is my 2013 had leveling kit and than I installed 5100’s and I never heard any noise / problems. Maybe towards end of 2019 before I got rid of I heard little noise and figured was just age of truck/ suspension. So for my 2020 to be so new, been extremely well taken care of, I find it hard to have this type of noise so soon.

Am I wrong for calling up shop, asking them about what type of warranty install has ? I figured a year right? I didn’t think much because again it’s a leveling kit- didn’t have issues with my 2013 and this shop has a pretty good reputation. I’m gonna call Monday AM. Just wanted to get everyone’s 2 cents . Thanks guys !

What’s it sound like? Does it happen when you’re going slow, fast? Turning a certain way? Is it continual? I had a creaking noise coming from my front end about a week ago, turned out the alignment shop that I took it to didn’t torque down my LCA bolts...

Jack up the front end and spin the wheels, see if you can start to track it down.

Haha sorry - meant grease gun.
Apparently they said that my TRD skid plate along with my leveling kit was causing noise . So they added spacers on my skid plate. Kinda weird since this is an OEM part. Yet- I did drive my truck around block and no longer hear noise . So must be fixed .

Can you post an image of these spacers? The factory TRD skid is not normally the cause of any sounds as it doesn't contact any moving parts.

I have heard of the skid plate interface with a level installed. Slight bend or cut takes care of it. Or, apparently, spacers.

Yeah man it’s weird bro. I would have never guessed ! This is a factory part . And everything lines up. Below are pics , it doesn’t look as bad and still pretty tucked up. I find it hard to believe this was result of noise but it was! I don’t hear anything now. And now that I think about it, never heard this before I had skid plate . Guess problem solved , and a heads up to anyone who buys TRD skid plate and has leveling kit.

On another note guys- I originally bought a grease gun for this, and I really don’t see any grease points on my 2020 ? I looked online and didn’t really have any luck . I did see how to grease ball joints without fittings / grease points but that just seems kinda half ass. Any suggestions?

    Hi,

I’m actually having the same issues with my 2020 Trd Pro. I took it to the dealer, they took the skid plate off and put it back on. It was noise free for about a week. Now the same noise is back.

What size are those spacers?? I think I need to do it to my rig also.

    Thank you

They removed the last two grease fitting on the front drive shaft either for the 2018s or 2019s midway through the year.
