That is precisely why when I was working for an electrical engineer we required TYPED, not hand written, panel schedules!

written isn’t bad if you do proper capital letters for all using a non-ballpoint pen.

So we poured SLC in another bedroom yesterday, so I took some photos of the process along the way.

First one is floor prepped: dam in the doorway, screws next to all nails on subfloor, edges (subfloor to bottom plate) caulked with cheapest caulk you can find, seams of subfloor panels filled/once overed with feather finish (I like Henry's 549, its not too expensive, easy to find, works well and can be covered in about an hour), SLC primer applied and finally metal lathe screwed throughout (edges smashed down to reduce height).

    Prepped for Pour.jpg

Second is later that night when it was cured enough to walk on about 4 hours later. While you can see the edges where the different buckets were poured (wavy lines), if you keep a wet edge and are smart with where you pour, it all levels out perfectly. I had one helper that was using a gauge rake set to 1/4" working it to high spots, edges and corners and letting it settle.

    Post Pour.jpg

Room was 180 sq ft plus the closet, I think we used ~15 bags (about half a pallet), just enough to barely cover the lathe.

Today I'll go around the edges with a wet rag and clean up the baseboards, it will wipe off with a little water and some effort.

With all this electrical panel talk, anyone have any suggestions for a good replacement (easiest to swap) for a Federal Pacific Stab-Lok panel? I want to replace the one in my house before it kills us in our sleep.

Panels are panels anymore, find what’s available in your area and which breakers are readily available.

Ask any electrician, and you’ll get the typical Ford/Chevy comparison some guys like Square D some guys like Eaton some like GE

Your wife looks like my wife's sister from a different mother. She'll put up 10 shades of white and then ask me which one I like :annoyed: Honey they are all white gets this response - :smack: Then she calls her sister and they debate the various whites, while I try to make myself scarce, like in another state. I don't mind painting so much, but I HATE the color choosing process.

Just don’t get ‘Eggshell’ finish. It does not ‘touch up’ well. You have to repaint the entire wall.

If you buy quality eggshell paint, it touches up. I have no problems touching up apartments where I used BM Regal Select eggshell without painting entire walls/rooms.

It hides minor imperfections well, goes on easy, cleanable, touches up fine even with real colors (not white). I use it in a lot of 100 year old apartments after repairing plaster problems.
