53A220B3-B32A-4C30-B61A-1DEACC8EE175.jpg So I hit my fence pulling in my driveway last night. Looking to take this opportunity to just cut and put some armor up there. Anyone with low profile armor up front could post some pics would be appreciated. Not much experience with armor so any and all suggestions appreciated.

Edit: also considering just paying my deductible and having it replaced. Not much experience in that department anyone know if that’s financially worth it. As far as how much it will drive up my rate and what not. 500$ deductible.

The problem is most aftermarket bumpers leave a good bit of that damaged area. You’d have to go with a full replacement to completely get rid of the damage.

Not so worries about completely getting rid of the damage gonna pop it maybe throw some paint on the upper scratched area just kinda using this as an excuse to go aftermarket. But as you said If I can’t make it look somewhat clean I will most likely just have it replaced. Thanks.

Something that isn’t too obnoxious but as the other post here says now that I’m really looking doesn’t look like that’s gonna fix my problem here unless I fully replaced. Don’t mind some battle scars on a truck but that’s a little much for my liking even after I pop it. Appreciate the reply tho.

Look into SSO slimline with stage 2 wings. That will cover your damaged area. 0CEC6491-C83D-4014-8BB6-E0CD43A8A43B.jpg
Edit. Looking closer I see that you will also need to pop out the plastic some. Good luck

I do like the look of that a lot. I will look into that bumper. Thanks for the reply. If I can ever pop this dent maybe I will go this direction.

Anyone have any insight on best way to apply touch up paint. Sand it down or buff it and do layers? Or does that look like the best I’m gonna get it.

The first picture looked bad, but after you popped it back it doesn't look too bad.

Yeah a lot of it was just scuffed and was able to get off with my hand going to take a buffer to it at some point. Also had a bit of touch up paint laying around and put that on the areas that the paint got taken off.

Anyone who has experience with body work have an input on if I were to replace paying deductible/rates going up versus paying out of pocket and if this damage would be better to fully replace vs seeing if they can just fix the cosmetic damage.

Having a body shop touch that small section up might cost a couple hundred at most. Doesn’t look like any holes or anything. I honestly don’t think you would even hit your deductible, so just paying out of pocket would be best. Leave insurance out of it.

Kinda figured that I’ll swing by body shop after work tomorrow see if they can give me a quote. Will have to hit the fence harder next time so I can justify some armor. Girlfriend was so confused why I was happy I dented the bumper and upset when I got the dent out enough to not be as noticeable.

Or just leave it as is. Touch up paint will just make it stand out more. It doesn’t look too bad. Barely noticeable. Good job popping it out .

I smacked my bumper on a long on the trail and that plastic popped right out without any cracks or creases. I bought a front bumper anyways because I didn't want to get hung up on anything while wheeling. But if you want to save money you can just take it off and repaint it instead for less than 500.
