What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Actually it's not as bright as it appears in the picture. It's not as bright at what Meso makes but its plenty of light and I'm very pleased with it, especially for how inexpensive it was to install. It looks more like this in person but I think it's slightly brighter.

 

Did this a couple days ago. I want to add a molle panel underneath for additional storage. Perfect AC mod for dog platform.

Few Qs:
1) where did you get the switch plate/face from?
2) in the second picture with the dual illuminated "A/B" light switch, is it a 3-way switch? If so, where did it come from?
3) just out of curiosity, the dual sets of camera switches, does one trigger video & one trigger sing shots for its corresponding camera?

Love the clean installs & all the area for extra switches and the fact that aftermarket switches look OEM these days--no more double sided tape for fog/OR lights

 

Things I finished up recently.

Cleaned up the engine bay.

Forgot the weather cowl...

Installed Kickers CS fronts and KS rears.
Mounting adapters with Homedepot weather gasket...


Switch out the MBRP for a Borla muffler.
With no rear cats, the MBRP was way too raspy at 3k-4k.


Short drive with the Borla.
Dashcam audio, so might not be 100% accurate.

What did you use to clean the engine bay?

 

I'm presuming your a DAT? (Scouts Out!)

 

Good ol' elbow grease!


But really
Pressure washed,
Used a Ryobi 1600, which I snagged on clearance for $79.
Used CarPro's Reset on a foam cannon, then a brush for smaller crevices.

Rinse

Ech0 Waterless wash, Eraser, then dress with Elixer/Reload or another Ceramic base coating.
*Spray on a microfiber towel to prevent getting it on Unwanted areas.


Ceramic coatings are pretty good at restoring trim and plastic with out the worry of dripping or slinging like usual dressings.

I'll use TarX or IronX sometimes for grease/oil splatters or rust.

 

Finished my poor-man's lift. Bilstein 5100's on stock coils up front with OME leafs in rear. 1.75" lift up front, 2" lift in back.

 

How did you paint the steering wheel emblem? Did you pull it off?

First post here on TW. New tires and mudflaps yesterday.

 

I was able to remove the center piece, tape, and paint the chrome piece on the side view mirror knob.Can’t remember which member posted about it, but thanks! Looks much better.

 

Is the quality of these lights at least as good as OEM?

 

Helped wife clean her up. Tried chem guys ceramic. I like it... definitely better than speed wipe.

 

Sell them on OfferUp! That’s what I did!

 

FRP hood prep and paint. Changed wipers to Bosch Icon and relocated the washer nozzles to the wiper arms:



I used Dorman P/N 47280. Waiting on more 4mm tubing to clean up the routing on the cowl cover.
