Damn y’all are hostile. I guess I should have read the forum rules. I thought this was were we all came together and shared our opinions. I do apologize if you mistook my comment as being rude.

That’s the first time I’ve been told I’m “douchey”. It’s just a saying in the south when you aren’t getting your point across. Y’all are taking this really seriously.

OVtune will address your transmission concerns; rehearing won’t help with the indecision of the stock tranny software.

You can spin the tires in a four-cylinder taco, too. That’s just a function of it being a truck: all the weight is in the front.

Saying that you can spin the tires in first gear reveals nothing of import.

    “My sweet summer child”...lol

It’s really hard to convey exactly what you are thinking by written communication. So much room for misinterpretation.

I thought your original “summer child” comment was rather snarky, but the follow up “your needs” comment was really way out there on the spectrum of believability - so I made sport of it and you somehow thought I was upset, and on and on and on.

It’s less about hostility and more about “not dishing it out if you can’t take it”.

With a dose of thick skin and sense of humor.

Was I more clear this time?

    No worries man.

Hostile? Dont think so. Confused/surprised maybe? We do come here to share opinions yes, thats what the forums are for.

Its just a bit funny when folks buy a tacoma, not completely satisfied with it, then proceed to go on the forum and convince people that actually like their taco that its lacking in some ways.

Taco is a light duty truck and it does an amazing job at that. Im not sure how my "never understood lack of low end torque off road" comment, turned into "i must not use my truck for work".

I thought I was overly sarcastic, but joined TW and realized otherwise. @boynoyce has recalibrated my sarcasometer

Yeah I should have done my research before I thought the Tacoma would be good for heavy construction. I just wanted something good off road. In the end it’s all I could afford at the time and I’ve grown to really like having it. It’s just I wish it could be a bit better in some areas. It’s definitely funny that everyone complains. But it’s just human nature. I was in the military and it’s was almost a rule to complain about everything the whole time about whatever we did!! Even if it was fun at times.

Heavy construction and tacoma dont go in the same sentence together . I get that its in our human nature to complain, especially behind the screen. A lot of that going on here. I think a lot of guys buy the tacoma purely for looks, and expect it to perform like a raptor. But it doesnt, tacos were always little , light duty pick ups that ran forever.

Im in the lucky minority that actually loves their truck. The more i drive it, the more i love it. She never let me down, will be keeping her for at least 10-15 years.
