    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
I will try to load some up of the 2003. It came out sweet! Took about 4 gallons of finish, 5 coats. It was a 2 day process.

With just the flares and bumpers you can get by with using the cans. It's all in the prep work. You need to apply at least 4-5 coats of the Plastidip. In this case you don't need to remove the parts.

Only the body panels are "single stage"

The flares definately have clear coat and most likely the front bumper

Thanks for the replies. I'll look into those suggestions.

Nah. I bought new in 2011. Never been in an accident or had any paint work done.

The clear seems to be delaminating from the paint. We has some 95+ degree days last week or so and that's when it started to show the damage. Never noticed it before. Hard to see in the pics but there is a 3-4" bubble below where is had come off already. It peels off like a thin rubber coating.

Mine is a 2011 with no prior paint repair and 92K miles all put on by me. I think it is just sun damage. Mine wasn't as bad as the OP but the driver side had a black spot where it had worn down to the plastic. Along the center and on the passenger side you can kinda see were the clear coat was starting to get thin.

If the truck is parked out in the open most of the time, and you live in a hot climate, that’s 50 000 hours of UV exposure by the time the truck is 10 years old. The sun will destroy most anything plastic given enough time.

Looks good especially the black rear bumper. I may do this at some point.

Yes it's normal. Toyota paint jobs are shit. 4 Toyota trucks, every single one had clear coat problems. Goes with the territory.
