It’ll go like 42 hahaha whenever this motor grenades itself the plan is to throw in a lifan 140 or 160 and it should do 55-60ish hopefully.

I’d kill for a more modern suspension to do things like that full speed, not gonna lie. My forks are from the late 70s and spongy as hell while the rears are sprung for the front of a sxs and stiff as shit, makes the ride interesting to say the least. I did hop a curb on it today when it died on me, big ol air bubble in one of the gas lines left the carb empty. Took me a minute to figure out what happened.

Suspension on the Grom is terrible, definitely bottomed it out a couple times yesterday. I went 64mph on a 45mph road. Whole time I kept thinking how funny it would be if I got pulled over.

Hmm, good point. The seats were clean and polished and the needles were new. However, I did not measure or adjust the float level. Would that cause leakage?
Where do you think it might be leaking from?

Thanks for all the help and advice!!

I do wish Honda would offer two spring rates for the Grom...one for children & teenagers (like they have now), and one for 200+ lb adults with a higher spring rate...lol

Good thing is it’s pretty cheap changing just the spring rate. I want to get the racing bro’s kit though. I don’t ride it enough right now to put money into it.

Yeah, that’s what I am saying if he used it for trail riding I bet it got sprayed with rocks. Unless it’s more dirt trails up there.

My old lady.. This thing make me LOL more than anything every single time we out. Pure happiness just like the time I ride my first scooter 1986 Honda aero back in late 80s.

Float level that's too far off can allow so much fuel coming in it will dump excess out of an overflow passage on some carbs. My old CB400F Honda messed with me for a while doing that. Did you split the carbs? If so the crossover tube connecting them usually has o-rings to seal it to the carb body. Be sure you have the correct size when you replace them. Had a friend fight that battle on a Honda CB350/4. He bought a box of o-rings at Harbor Freight of all places thinking that would be okay. They were metric o-rings and his were way off but to the naked eye looked close.

Yep -- When they were announced, I called the local dealer and put a deposit down that day.
