Good to know, now I'm debating between 5/6 vs 4/5 and Dakar vs AAL haha. But buy once cry once, don't want to have to be messing around with the suspension again down the road.

 

You are correct, not sure what I was looking at?? Senior moment....haha.

I do have 265/75/16 on 16x7 wheels, and the new wheel I was looking at are 16x8 with 4" backspacing. Install of 6112/5160 with 600lbs coils and SPC UCA and will include CMC, pinch weld smash down at the same time, so hoping it'll all work out.

Read on forums that ECGS bushing should be done at same time since front end is open.

 

Yes, it is very recommended that you do the ECGS bushing. Did you order everything yet?

 

Will these work on a Tacoma? Guy says they were for his Tundra.

Lift all done. There's a slight vibration from 20-30MPH and it needs an alignment, but other than that it's doing great.

Waiting on u-bolt flip kit, bump stops, skids, sliders and front bumper. Need to have exhaust reroute done. Need the ECGS bushing put in still. Will also do fluid changes to the diffs, t-case, and transmission soon.

Alignment is the first priority.

 

Congrats! Your 20-30mph vibration is likely the ecgs bushing.

This how you verify. Temporarily put truck in 4wd HI while driving 30mph, straight. NO TURNING. If the vibes go away, for sure need ecgs bushing!

 

That's what I'm figuring. I tried to get the
CV out but nothing would work. Going to have a shop do it. Oh well.

 

If you will be in SoCal any time soon. I can do the work for half what a shop will charge. Again, congrats on the 6112's!

I'm considering this exact setup, it may be too soon to tell as you just posted, but how is the ride quality on road/off road? Any issues?

 

No issues, I did do the ecgs bushing. Not sure when I will be able to go offroad but from the 90 miles I’ve driven on it, it seems to soak up bumps better. Overall I’m very happy. I did receive a little more lift than I anticipated, I’m sure it’ll settle a little. Also need to go back to firestone and have them adjust my alignment a little more. It’s pulling slightly to the right.

 

Need recommendations for a matching rear lift. Would prefer as level as possible, and don’t really want to disassemble the fronts to change height settings. Is an AAL too much Rear lift to match?

Hoping to keep about the same lift, but improve my ride from the 5100s

 

One guy said that modified vehicles void the lifetime, I called two other shops and they said that what I was told wasn’t true. I had no issues today and it seems like everyone else on here has no problem.

Look up post history for user 50ate. He has this exact setup with no lift in the rear. Its pretty level and helped me decide what I wanted to do.

 

I have mine set to 2/3 on the front, got about an inch of lift with the same tires as those. It sits pretty level now after everything settled

 

Thats what I've gathered. Kicking myself for not just getting them set at 2/3. I may just end up installing a 1/2" rear block.

 

Spring question.....I'm sure the info is somewhere in the almost 200 pages of this thread...but I don't want to spend hours looking.

I just installed my 6112's and I'm loving them. But I would like to go to 700lb springs so I don't have as much dive into corners with no sway bar, coming from 3rd gen OR setup (700lb springs) on my 2nd gen it's a bit more dive than I was expecting. If I end up swapping coils would I just go down one 1 clip setting or 2 clip settings to maintain where I am currently?
