Got a bearcat 880 CB as a gift but not sure which antenna to go with. Any suggestions? Don’t need ridiculous range, no magnets either.

Dont need a ton of range either.
    Firestiks are great.
    Gets the job done.
Saved me some close calls a couple of times.
Just went with a simple mount, keep it kind of low because I park in the garage at home.
Scuse the mess, need to detail the inside.
Pull the mic when Im not in the woods so a big cup can fit.
Never really used that center storage anyways.
Seen some great mounting ideas here...

Sure comes in handy when theyre logging.

Seen a mount that locks into the tie down rail, looks pretty good. Going to mount the radio on the side of the console.

Used to put my long whip there in the tie down.

Forgot too many times when I got home. Was just long enough to catch the end of the garage door then unlatch with a vengeance as I backed out and it snaked its way up the cab.

I know you said no mag mounts, but, since I only use my CB when on (or off) the road, not every day, a mag mount is very convenient, won't harm the paint if not left on permanently, and isn't a permanent give-away to smash and grabbers looking for a quick theft (fix). My Wilson mag mount gives great range and was stable at high speeds.

Going to install the Bearcat 880 this weekend. Found a nice anteena mount at RAGO Fabrication. Mounts in the tie down rail no drilling. Bought a 4ft Firestick, might be a little to tall... maybe a 3ft. Should be a fun install! Love the truck.
