Probably. I’m considering just installing an electric water pump that pulls from my 5 gallon jug instead. One less thing to have to carry.

Nope. But the sprayer makes it super easy to wash dishes and not use an excessive amount of water. Also wash hands and hair. And brush ones teeth. It's worth it trust me. It's a small thing but it's like the fridge kind of. Needed? No. Nice to have? Oh yes.

Plus it's small anyways

When I'm out doing, I want minimal number of things that require electrons under pressure to be functional. It's bad enough being at home with such devices.

Electrons as in electricity for the pump. I might have confused you with the post by PcBuilder getting an electric water pump. If you are using a garden type sprayer then your good!

At home I have a well with a pump which feeds a cistern and pump and pressure tank that forces the water to flow in the house & when there is a problem; the best it can be is a royal PIA. Nothing about a well water system is inexpensive.

So, if you're using a hand pump garden sprayer for dishes, showers etc., I'm impressed and will use that myself.

Although my first version of the portable shower was a beer keg and I used my Vair portable air compressor for it to stay preassurized. It worked well too but was a pain to haul due to its size.

I find this dificult to envision. If there are 2 meals a day, that is about one ounce of water per meal.

This is not true. Maybe it was at one time but not from what I witnessed last trip.

Made it myself. Top plate I got from @eimkeith but the sides I made myself. Took a lot more time than I thought it would to get to fit up.

Prepping the buckets sucks too with the engine in. But whatever. About to start burning stuff in.

 

Back from the NVBDR and some relaxing camping in CA. I don't know how you live in the heat of Vegas @PcBuilder14. Was a fun trip, bug damn, HOT AF as we got to the southern part of the state.

Luckily, sort of. Held charge for the entire BDR, and then promptly lost any ability to cool as we were in Mojave. So drove Route 66 the old fashioned way - windows down!

Edit: Denso compressor on the way; seems reasonably easy to swap out, just time consuming.

That's awesome. Another trip I hope to do some day. We made another trip out to Great Basin National Park this weekend and it reminded me how beautiful Nevada can be as you get farther North. You get to the point that you just stay inside if it's past about 9 in the morning. I just remind myself of the very mild Winter season we get which makes for great camping. Could be worse, Phoenix gets even hotter!
