Rubicon Express longarm, 4.88 gears, ARB lockers front and rear, currie swaybar disconnect. 35" BFG KO2. Dana 44 rear, 35 spline D30 up front. Onboard air with 2.5g tank, full cage, True header to flowmaster 40 exhaust, rock rails, swing hitch rear bumper, custom fab front bumper with a warn 9k winch. LED lights all the way around, a stereo that would make some new age rapper jealous, and tuffy boxes front and rear to keep all the cargo secure with the hard top off.

$11k. Bought as is. I mentioned in a post above, I was tired of blowing my own money. I looked for over a year to pick one up that someobody else had already done the "correct" build to.

I unloaded it for $6,500 when I had to move. I'm not a very smart man.

What part of northern Nevada? I lived in Reno/Sparks for over 10 years. My wife and her family are all from there and grew up there. I/we miss it a lot. We are just over the hill in Roseville now. Will be moving back for sure to Reno soon.
Anyway, nice Sport you have. The whole lineup of Tacoma’s are very capable off road. Certain trims just allow you go to further up some trails with the rear locker and better suspension but I wouldn’t let this deter you from getting out exploring. Sounds like you know your limits so you’ll be good. Take care OP!

Howdy! I live off the Redrock exit, give or take 8 miles north of downtown on 395.

Nice, know the area well. We lived in Wingfield in northern Sparks off Vista Blvd. we had a nice house. Got greedy and chased money for my job which pushed me into Roseville. I can’t wait to get back home!! Take care.

I don’t either, and I don’t expect it to be anything great either. Frankly, I didn’t like any of the Broncos post 1977. The “OJ” ones? Yeah, not a fan at all. I expect nothing from modern vehicles trying to replicate classic stuff.

Luckily we are only an hour and 45 minutes away. We are always going over the hill to visit family often. Never again will I chase money for any job. Not worth it to uproot, sell a house, buy a house and repeat to just get back home. That saying is true, grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Least when we move back to Reno, it will be permanent. Will have to meet up someday to chat. C ya.

Well, I mean, technically the grass is definitely greener in Roseville. You get way more rain :p I hear ya though.

Even Reno is getting super busy now.

O I know it’s getting built up pretty well over. Reno actually has a “rush hour” now lol. And housing prices are getting crazy. yeah it may be greener but I hate how hot it gets. Right now outside it’s 103 at 740 at night. Stupid hot here in the summer.

The passenger mirror was messed up, so I had to depend on the blind spot mirror for towing on that side. The only way to get a full view of the road from the blind spot mirror was to flip it up, but it looked weird flipped up only on the passenger side, so I flipped the other side up too :)
I think it's called a blind spot mirror, you know how there is the main mirror and then the second one on bottom that's super wide used for towing.

Surprise surprise. A Dodge product messed up.

This was from today. I laughed.

Been enjoying my JL for over a year now. They do price them pretty high, but since it's an FCA product I was able to get $10K off mine. They do hold their values well just like Tacos and that makes them pretty cheap to lease too. The JL is a lot more darty driving around, more bouncy than Taco. I have the 2 Liter turbo with 8 speed auto and that makes it quite a bit faster/more responsive than the engine/trans in Tacoma. I don't do crazy off road so to me they are pretty similar in that regard.

There was a dude who had 2 fca products, a jl and a ram 1500, both new. JL would flash the dashboard lights to full brightness everytime he used the windshield wiper, and the radio played white noise half the time. His ram would randomly roll the windows down by itself both with the key fob in and out the vehicle when off. He made a thread on the forum and everyone was triggered saying those issues arent even a big deal.

Oh yeah and the manuals had an issue where the clutch randomly explodes and catch fire. The first guy it happened to, he went to the dealer and they didnt care, then it happened to more people and now it is a recall lol
