I'm from the Sacramento area, just joined. But I've been using this site for years, lots of good information.

I had a damaged ARB bumper, I didnt like the way they looked out of the box so i decided to change it up a little.

Started by fixing the damage, it was buckled and dented. Then all the extra brackets and bars were cut off, holes were filled and all the welds were smoothed out.

The color chosen is from a newer car, but it has semi gloss clear to keep it from being too shiny.

I'll have to figure out a nickname using that haha. I'm not too familiar with that show, but I feel like he's a relative to the truck!

I haven't weighed it yet. But I need to, I get asked that alot. That piece is still in the shop, I'm guessing its probably 30-40lbs taken off? I also removed the rubber bumpers.

This truck is only used for camping and hauling gear to the trail. The other rig does all the hard work in the rocks.

"Lamar Bumperweighs-a-ton" joking aside you do some nice work! Feels good finding damaged stuff and fixing it and sometimes it comes out better than it did from factory. I mountain bike quite a bit and all my bike carriers were either free or super cheap because I fixed them (broken). lol

That's a really nice paint job on that bumper.

Now it's time to go smash it against some rocks.

My favorite part of Star Trek is when Darth Vader takes his Dalek through the stargate.

Thanks guys, I spent a few hours getting this exactly how I wanted it. The color was a last minute change, it was almost going to be body color.

Here is where I mounted the winch controller port. I didn't want the relay box on my bumper like most winches are.....plus I needed more room for my light bar.
