After one month of ownership, decided to upgrade to TRD SEMA wheels and Falken tires. Gained a couple inches in height, but lost a couple mpg; well worth it.

Have you got anymore pictures? I’ve been seriously debating the white out on the tires when my quicksand finally arrives

I think those 305’s are 0 offset. Not sure if tire brand designs matter much on a 265/70R17 sized tire. Im thinking that differences in side wall design may lead to more rubbing potential from one brand to another. I don’t have personal experience with that combo of tire size and wheel dimensions, so I can only make guesses here on fitment.

Edit: If it helps you any, check out this video.

I think he hasn’t been active in a while on his channel. His review on that size tire helped give me some idea on what I could get with stock suspension. However, I ended up deciding to wait on wheels and tires till after suspension upgrades

This helped me with comparisons, a tire size calculator:

For those of you wanting to paint your Tacoma accessories to match Quicksand color (and don't want to spend a fortune on paint), this might be of interest.

I'm in the end stages of a truck cap modification project (stay tuned for a separate thread), and this past weekend, painted my project. Trying to keep to a dirt cheap budget, I decided to use Rustoleum "Sand Gloss" (SKU 7771) Acrylic Enamel as the base. After some experimentation, I found that adding 25ml of Rustoleum "Black Gloss" (SKU 7779) to a quart of Gloss Sand yielded a very close color match. The picture below shows my experiments, starting with 5ml of "Black) in 16oz of "Sand", and adding 5ml more black for each test area. The actual color match is between the 10ml and 15ml colors.

For my project, I thinned the mixed paint 1/16 with acetone (2oz per quart of paint). After the color was mixed and thinned, I added Acrylic Enamel paint hardener (Majic SKU 8-0950-4). I used a HVLP spray gun, 1.4mm tip at 40psi. For your reference, including the paint for the test piece, I ended up spending only $38 for everything and had more than enough to paint the cap with 4 coats.

I've used the paint hardener before on a snow plow refurb project and the paint on the blade is 2 seasons old and holding up great. Another added benefit to using paint hardener; after letting it cure for a week, you can wet sand out the orange peel and buff the finish to a really good polish. It's not show-car quality, but it looks a far cry better than rattle can.
